We've used Hembree twice now. Once for a new A/C install after a tree crushed our unit, and once when our thermostat went out. We've found them to be very friendly, clean, and fair.
We have had a less than one star experience with this company! We had Hembree install an ionizer into both of our AC units to help with our sons allergies which cost $1,900. We had to purchase a yearly plan with this deal. We never set up the first visit/service when the plan started in August 2022. Last week (February 2023) our upstairs unit quit working on Thursday so we called Hembree to come take a look at the unit. After setting up the service call the technician came out on Monday and told us he was unable to perform any services until we renewed our yearly plan. I called the office and the lady that I spoke with the previous Thursday said that was correct and that they wouldn't perform any service work until we renewed. Why didn't she tell me this when I spoke with her the previous Thursday? Why didn't someone mention this when they called the previous Friday to confirm my Monday appointment? Why didn't they mention this when they called that Monday morning to tell me what time they were coming? I refused to renew and then they agreed to give us one of the two service visits that we had paid for and keep us on their plan until August 2023. I don't understand their reasoning for forfeiting one of our paid service visits, because I'd think that you would have a year to use the two service visits that we paid for. In any event, the service technician then began to service the units and discovered that the blower motor in one of the units needed to be replaced and the expensive ionizer that they had installed had not been working properly. The technician showed us the fan housing and the broken motor that are covered with black mold(Isn't the ionizer supposed to keep this from happening?). The technician looked up the part that needed to be replaced and said it was in stock at the supply house and that they would be back Wednesday to fix the unit. He said that the office would call to schedule the repair visit, but they never did. I finally called on Wednesday to see when they were coming out to fix it. Well, they said that there had been some confusion and that the parts company did not have record of them ordering the part. They apologized and said that the would be out here the following day to fix it and that they would call Thursday morning to set up a time as they were keeping the technician's schedule clear so he could be here Thursday. I never heard from them Thursday morning. I called Thursday around noon and they said that they would call to check on the part and call me back. They never called back Thursday. I called again this morning at 8:30 (Friday) and they said that they would have their parts person call and check on the part and then call me back. At 10:15 I called because I hadn't heard from them and they said they were waiting to hear back from the parts store. She said I'll call them back right now and call you right back. After 20 minutes had passed, I called and told them that we would call another company.

Hembree installed whole house dehumidifier for me. The whole process was fantastic. They treated me like I was their most important customer at each stage of the process. Jacob Hembree presented several options for us and gave us lots of info on our existing AC system. He was never pushy and listened carefully to what we needed. Colin and Walter did the installation. They were courteous and professional and did the job well. I would 100% recommend Hembree to everyone.

From the initial consultation with Josh to discuss my options to the top notch installation by Chris and Morgan. I was consistently kept in communication with what to expect, recommendations and progress. They were prompt, courteous and did an amazing job with the installation. I never thought I would be so excited about a new HVAC system! However, Hembree exceeded all my expectations and I would not hesitate to use them again! I highly recommend this company!!

They even showed up early for the service call, so I wasn't left waiting around all afternoon. Wonderful people and top notch customer service!

Our home was serviced by Al Boice and he was fantastic! My husband said he was amicable, professional, and knowledgeable. He was impressed by Al. Our rental was serviced by Andre Talley and he was awesome as well. While we didn't get to meet him, he was very helpful on the phone and did a great job with our tenants. We highly recommend Hembree. Ask for Al Boice on the Eastern Shore or Andre Talley in Mobile. You won't be disappointed.
After months of trying to get my regular AC company to return my calls, I decided reach out to Hembree Heating and Air. It was great not receiving a recorded message on my first and only call to Hembree. I was able to get an appointment for the next day and I must say - Al Boice was prompt, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. My initial call was just to get the drain pan under unit removed and replace plus get a quote on the installation of a UV light system. After speaking with Al for only a few minutes, I decided use Hembree for both installs.
Two days after my initial call, my system is online with a brand new drip pan and a Platinum UV light system. Al did an awesome installation job, plus he corrected a ductwork issue that was created by another AC company. Additional he cleaned coil and box as well. The system looks great! You can’t go wrong with Hembree. Give them a call and make sure you ask them to send Al to service your system.
