My husband, Ben Youngblood, left a review earlier about my conversation with Chapman today. As Chapman stated in their response, we had already had 2 electricians come out and they gave the same diagnosis for our electrical panel. However, the warranty company wasn’t satisfied and wouldn’t cover the panel replacement until we had Chapman come out to give their diagnosis. While speaking to Chapman (which was at 4:40, not after hours as far as I know - I assume regular business hours end at 5 but they just advertise as 24/7…), he asked several questions which I answered…I noted that our power was still off due to the arcing and it not being safe. He then told me that the arcing would only possibly result in the wire melting in half, “it wouldn’t explode or anything” making it sound unnecessary and overly cautious to still have the power off even though that’s what the fire department told us to do. He also said it would be maybe Thursday or Monday before they could come out (how about that 24/7 service?) My husband works from home, we have pets, and I’m pregnant so we cannot continue going without power or risking turning the power back on and there being a fire. In his reply to my husband’s review, he takes no responsibility for the inaccurate and unsafe information he provided during the phone call and instead frames the customer as the problem acting as if we’re unwilling to give grace because we “didn’t get our way on the spot.” Our warranty company also sent Chapman out for our HVAC unit a couple years ago and their quote was WAY overpriced. So not only are they not professional, they overcharge and apparently don’t actually provide 24/7 services.
Our breaker box has been arcing, failing to trip breakers, and part of our house has been without power due to a burnt up breaker box. The fire department had to come because we could smell burning wires, hear popping/cracking, and could see flashes of light happening inside our breaker box. The fire department told us the box reached dangerous temperatures and it was good we cut the main power when we did.
When we told Chapman Service on the phone today that we still had no power they told us that the electrical arcing in our breaker box was not going to cause a problem and we could just turn it back on.
That was all I needed to hear to know I would take my business elsewhere, and you should too.
I had to replace my package HVAC recently. I called Chapman Service and spoke with Dan Chapman who took the time to explain the unit options available, and the pros and cons of each one. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and willing to answer any question I may have had. Once a decision was made on the unit for our home Kaitlyn set up my appointment , and the installation team arrived as promised. The installation team was very efficient, and they quickly worked to install the new unit and was more than willing to answer any additional questions I may have had. The entire process went very smoothly, and the customer service was outstanding.
I use Chapman Service for all my heating and AC needs because Dan Chapman and his staff are top-notch professionals. I have used them for every house I have owned and I have never had problems using them. I will continue to call Chapman Service for all my heating and air needs.
Jeremy went above and beyond in his services. He was extremely professional in helping my elderly grandmother she could not stop talking about him! Thank you!
After a circuit board in a major appliance blew out at the time of a recent power outage, I was advised to get a whole-house surge protector. I called Chapman Service and Misty (on their front desk) immediately gave me the full price for the installation, saying they could install it the next day.
Job done. Happy customer.
Dan Chapman and his employees are exemplary in the service they provide: knowledgeable, straightforward, responsive, conscientious, courteous, and reliable.
I had Dan Chapman come out and replace my old package HVAC unit and it came out great! He kept in great communication with me before the install and answered all my questions. He was the MOST knowledgeable person I had contacted, and I had contacted about 10 other companies. He told me what items were up to code and what were not. He got my new Trane HVAC installed within a day. He is the owner of the company and he was here doing the install with another employee. If you need a new system or a repair I highly recommend his business! He even came out in an ice storm when my old unit went out and did the repair and gave me a quote on a new one. THANKS DAN!!!!!
I purchased a HVAC system from Chapman Service and will likely purchase three more HVAC systems as and when my current ones die. Their pricing was competitive and the installation went very well. I appreciated the extra steps they took to install the new system and to protect my home. Everyone with whom I have worked at Chapman has been courteous and professional.
Chapman's Service Technician was great. He was very knowledgeable, took time to explain the process, listened to my input, offered viable suggestions, was easy to communicate with, and brought the issues down to my level. In all a very satisfactory experience AND Chapman Service will be back in the fall to check out our furnaces.
Told me the 1st 30 minutes 89 bucks. I was charged 260 just for him to change the batteries in the thermostat. He was not here long enough for it to cost that much.
