So Cal Air Conditioning and Heating

We had purchased a 100 year old house that "had central air conditioning," but it barely worked. As it starting getting hot last summer, we decided to replace the entire system. We got a referral to a very good company, but they, and every other company we contacted, said that they could only help us in a month's time.

Based on the his Yelp reviews, I called Menooa for what was really supposed to be a second opinion. He came out to our house immediately, gave his expert opinion on the situation, beat the other companies quote with more efficient equipment, and said that he could start IN A FEW DAYS. His crew showed up, literally during the hottest week of the year, and installed a completely brand new two-level system.

We had also finished a garage/man cave project without considering air conditioning, and he also beat another quote and put a split level system in there that works perfectly.

It was a great experience.

Prompt response with 10 minutes. Great communication and clear and straight forward estimate. They fixed our AC within 30 minutes. Charged what we agreed on the phone.
In addition, they were so kind to answer my questions about another unit without charging his time. I would definitely recommend #SoCalAir conditioning would absolutely hire them again. Great and honest guys. Thank you so much again

Poorly installed equipment without consideration of customers needs

With the cold weather settling in we had no choice but to figure out an efficient alternative to keep us warm during the winter. With COVID on the rise it’s something we were really concerned about. I gave So Cal a call and scheduled a time for them to come in and see the place. The techs were extremely knowledgeable and provided great advice about the whole setup. We then scheduled a a day for them to come and they came to take care of the job. Day of they arrived on time and started the job right away. It’s been a month now and it’s the house is warm thanks to the team at So Cal!

Referred So Cal Air and Menooa to my brother's household since they were having trouble finding an honest company to come out to fix their A/C unit which wasn't blowing out any cold air. They originally had a different company come out telling them they needed a freon recharge but this other company put in an incorrect type of freon (a cheaper type that can potentially cause severe damage to the A/C unit) and did not fix the problem. So a few different companies came out and the repairs they recommended were all over the board from replacing the evaporator coil to needing a new furnace to needing a new A/C unit or needing everything new with estimates ranging from 2 to over 10 grand. None of them recommended doing a leak test to diagnose the leak saying the test would take too long and wasn't 100% accurate.

When Menooa and Robert came out, that was the 1st thing they recommended so they can diagnose exactly where the leak was and what needed to be done. Their explanation was why spend thousands replacing a condenser unit or furnace if it wasn't necessary. So test was done and there was a leak coming from the coil thus a new coil was needed. Their bid to replace/install new coil, freon recharge (the correct expensive type) and also installing 2 new thermostats were the lowest from all the different companies that came out. They also went above and beyond and took it upon themselves to check and do other things that were not requested at no extra charge. Things like climbing on the roof to see if the vents were sealed correctly, checking and flushing out the primary and secondary lines which in this case, the primary line had a clog that couldn't be flushed out so they found the location of the clog and had to cut and replace a section of PVC pipe. Hard work considering they spent majority of time in the attic which we all know can get really hot. stuffy and cramped. In the end, much needed cold air was flowing once again.

Great service by Menooa and Robert who are true professionals. It's unfortunate that finding honest people/companies is so hard to do. Glad to have found Menooa at So Cal Air. If you need any A/C or heater service, they are highly recommended.

Great communication and came out same day. Super nice guys, got our AC back up and running in almost no time at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Can't say enough about the great service and punctuality. Since our heater died JUST before Thanksgiving rainy holiday, Menooa came on time with the crew, changed the unite and made our home warm and ready for holidays. Professional, neat and caring. THANKS SO CAL :)
