Over a year ago (during the pandemic!), we called Shepherd's for a plumbing emergency, and they helped us despite not having any available appointments, by shifting around their entire day. And we were blessed that they sent Luis into our lives that day. We'd tried others repair folks for similar issues, but Luis just made us feel super-comfortable with his knowledge, thoroughness, and professionalism. We had a multi-day job, but Luis somehow made us feel at ease, explaining the problem, answering our questions, and just being upfront with us and how he wanted to get to the root of the problem.

Since that emergency, we've called on Shepherd's for HVAC duct work, pipe replacement. And this week, Luis and Aaron came out and did a difficult kitchen faucet replacement, fixed leaking AC drain pipe, and installed an ice maker outlet box on an existing wall, flawlessly and quickly - so quickly, I barely had time to offer them water!

Dave, the owner of Shepherd's, came out to do a consult on our HVAC system. He's uber-knowledgeable about different systems, which was clearly evident in his analysis of our issues/concerns, and his proactive recommendations for improving our system. Although we didn't have extensive needs at the time, there is no doubt that I will be reaching out again to Shepherd's for our next HVAC repair or addition.

Shepherd Plumbing Heating and Air has done several jobs for me, always with great results. They are highly knowledgeable and skilled, doing very high quality work at an excellent value. One project they did for me corrected the poor work of a previous plumber resulting in much improved performance. They know their craft and will suggest multiple solutions if you are budget conscious. They also have high integrity, and will not “sell” you work you don’t need. Highly recommend!

We contacted Shepherd company to repair our hammering pipes and tankless water heater that were not installed correctly. The technician came on time and did a great job (completely different from previous people). They installed the pipe clamps with all the rubber isolator that look like they would strongly last forever. They also gave us a big discount since we live next to the retired father who is a very knowledgeable plumber that answered all of our questions professionally.
This is a 3-generation family owned company!
We will contact them again for our future need.

Shepherd's was at my house quickly, answered all of my questions and helped me understand the best way to optimize my existing heating system. They made suggestions about the minor steps I could take first before I decide to commit to a bigger project to make my system efficient. Every other company had told me I needed to replace everything and quoted a huge project. I really appreciate the honesty and straight forward assessment they gave me and trust I am in good hands.

The technician has shown up on time. He was very professional and knowledgeable, took care of the issues he could and explained other's. One of the issues was with the instant water heater hookup. We are calling Shepherd's back to make necessary changes. A definite 5-star company.

Follow-up review: I held-off writing the follow-up review for about a week since repair to ensure that the repair sticks.
We had gas smell in garage, mostly around tankless water hear and furnace, for over a year. PG&E, with all their vaunted equipment, could not figure out where the smell was coming from and suggested replacing water heater, costing us over $2K in unnecessary repairs. Luis quickly found the source of the problem--deteriorating roof vent connected to water heater--and re-built it. I highly recommend Shepherd's!

We had a flood and Shepherd's handled all the replacement installations of our heater, water heater, air conditioner, ducts and vents. They are very professional, staff is personable and communicative about what they are doing, work was top notch and done in a timely manner. They were recommended by our contractor.

I was really impressed with Shepherd's plumbing. We had a major sewer line blockage that required several days of investigation and work to repair - including jackhammering a hole through the slab of the house. Caleb did the work for us and he was always a consummate professional - courteous, on-time, hard working and provided frequent updates and status reports.

The work was done professionally and with surprising speed, and in addition to solving the immediate problem, Caleb 'future-proofed' the house with a new access port to make any future issues much cheaper and simpler to solve.
