Don't. Never answers the phone. They don't return their calls same day. They don't update the message if they're closed. Had the same issue last Spring. You don't want someone like that being in charge of the warranty on your furnace in the middle of winter.
After calling and leaving three clear messages from first thing in the morning with my name, number, the address and the problem, I was shocked when the girl who finally called me back the next day, mid-afternoon tried to tell me that they were short staffed like that's my fault. You're so short staffed you can't call me and tell me you're booked for three minutes when that's your whole job is phones? Nope, sorry not buying that. Then it was that I only left my name and that their messaging system did not mess them up, I did. Then it was that they were closed on Thursday, after I told her I record my calls and asked if she would she like to hear them. Real cute. This is a business? Save the excuses and defensive behavior for high school, please. It was cold all day yesterday and today and it got down to 50 in my house last night and we had to get ready for work like that this morning. Of course I'm ticked. Three minutes is all they needed to spend to not make us suffer for no reason.
He installed our furnace a year ago.
Some rooms share ducts. Some of the duct vent controls are jammed, so flow remains uneven. There are holes in the ducting and exposed fiberglass. One is folded in half on the hook, and the insulation on the furnace is flopping about. Even though I have a good filter, an air cleaner that worked great at my last home, and a vacbot, we get a ton of dust from a very dirty attic and swollen allergy eyes in the morning when heating the house. Maybe he reused the 30-year-old ducts without cleaning them. Filter can't help you there.
When I changed the filter, I discovered that he originally installed the wrong size filter. How? I have no idea. It is clearly printed on the filter door flap. 🙄
Folks, spend the extra $$ to get a good HVAC company out. The guy I paid out of pocket (I should send Shield the bill) uttered so many "ai ai ai's" when he got up there it's not even funny.
