Called Day Plumbing and Heating to look at furnace systems at two locations. When the technician, very young, arrived at the first location, he stated he could not work on wall heaters and couldn’t recommend anyone nor could his office. It would have been nice to know that when I made the appointment. I found someone on line in minutes.
We went to the second house. There had been odd sounds coming from the water pipes so we thought it might be air in the system. The Day technician wanted to drain the system and replace 3 different parts to the tune of $2800. He then said he didn’t want to do the work because I had an attitude. He decided he would do the work and had to get parts from his shop. In the meantime I called another plumber. The technician from Day could not do the work that day as he did not have glycol in stock so he left and I didn’t hear anything else from him or his office. The technician from the second company I called came and could not find anything wrong and did not hear the noise we were describing. He didn’t see anything wrong with the parts the Day technician wanted to replace. He, a very experienced tech, did not want to do work that wasn’t necessary. This was weeks ago and the furnace is working fine. I could have paid $2800 for work that didn’t need to be done. How often does that happen I wondered? Day used to be our “go to” plumber but now, I’d never use them again. They were bought out and their customer service left with the previous owner. I don’t trust them either given the $2800 estimate I received. Beware of this company, formally Day Plumbing and Heating.

Ben was so great. He took the time to answer all my questions and help me understand my furnace and AC unit better. He also did a very thorough job cleaning the unit. Ben was super knowledgeable and I will definitely request him by name next time we need servicing.

After signing their quote and agreeing to the price they showed up to install but couldn’t because of snow build up. The next day they called and said it would be $15000 more than they quoted and would not honor the price they gave me. I said no and they came back with only $3000 extra and would still not honor their price. Sanders and Johnson knew the prices were going to go up but failed to order their parts on time. I had other bids that I could have gone with but everyone’s prices went up. Thanks to their incompetence I am now unable to do this job. I would definitely not recommend.

We have used Sanders & Johnson since buying the home in 2018. They had installed & maintened the system for the owners previous to the people we bought it from, and did maintenance for the people we bought the home from.

Tyler was the lead Tech with Johann in training on AC'c. They both were straight forward, got the job done. Side note Johann did the furnace maintenance last fall.

Tyler explained about one issue with the contactor. Although knew we don't use the AC very much and are planning on replacing the unit with in 2 years. So he suggested not replacing the contactor as it should hold until then. He was very honest that he couldn't guarantee it, but it was worth watching to see if it does.

Benjamin and Kyle were kind and professional. They never pushed services but explained exactly what was going on with the system. They were a pleasure to have at the house and I will have them back again!

Friend of mine called them they charged her $150 to come out to look at a/c problem. Found out it was a capacitor on her condenser. To fix it they charged her $200 for a $20 part and charged her another $150 charge to put it in. He was there for less than 1 hour. ?????

Twee is excellent on timeliness and very knowledgeable on water filtration system and in house plumbing. Will use again. He also did a great job on swamp cooler last summer
