Doing business with them for many years. They have given good service. Have always have been able to reach them when I needed them.

Sound Energy is a fantastic company to work with. They recently helped me on a weekend, the hottest of the summer, when my condenser failed. The guys were very response and had the problem fixed in no time. I would highly recommend Frazer and his team.

I cannot speak too highly of Sound Energy. Several years ago when we moved to Darien the real estate agent recommended them as a fuel oil supplier. A couple of years later we had a different outfit do an annual inspection of our central air conditioning prior to summer and they told us of a “faulty part” that would cost $2,000 to replace. The explanation didn’t sound right and we decided to get a second opinion from Sound Energy and were told that no such “repair” was required. Ever since we have found them honest and reliable. When they make a repair I feel confident it was done right and fairly.

I would give zero stars if possible, but you have to give at least one to post a comment. Without question, the worst fuel company I have ever dealt with and you REALLY have to go overboard (good or bad) for me to bother to write a review. Lazy, rude, condescending, flippant, arrogant, indifferent are the appetizers. For the main course try incompetent with shady business practices bordering on criminal. I will skip dessert. After going through HELL and thinking no company could be this bad...it must be ME, I called in another service company. In 1 phone call, I found another local company that is so amazing that I could not believe I put up with Sound Energy's outrageous behavior for as long as I did. For starters, the new company came out and found over 3 feet of compacted soot and debris in the furnace chimney. Imagine how many years my annual cleaning was not done correctly. The entire system was not drafting through the chimney and the flame settings and adjustments were incorrect, making the system overwork and burn too hot, creating soot deposits and excessive oil consumption. One day and one new company later, it feels like a new heating system has been installed. Quiet, efficient, even heat. The entire house is actually warmer with the thermostat set LOWER and the oil is almost a dollar less per gallon. One town over?? All Sound Energy does is complain about how everything is YOUR fault. When you point out things that seem like they could be their fault, you are dismissed. Since I was unfailingly polite until I couldn't take it anymore, I have to assume that they first look up your property value, then base their level of service on the dollar amount they discover. From all of the glowing reviews from the hedge-funders on here, I have to assume that anything under 5 million gets "D-listed". Even though they probably send the same incompetent people to their homes, they probably get taken seriously when they call to complain. Beyond disgraceful.

We have been Sound Energy customers for over 25 years. We have used them for fuel delivery and emergency heating service as well as replacing dated systems with more energy efficient systems throughout the years. They have consistently been extremely professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Sound Energy.

Walt and his team at Sound Energy responded to a request for proposal for a new boiler and water tank at my residence in Darien with fantastic speed and professionalism. They were able to schedule an assessment visit within hours of my initial call; I had their proposal and quote by end of that same day. Installation was completed a few days later and done in a single day to a very high standard. Their team is great to work with, their pricing is competitive, and their service and quality are top notch.

Sound Energy is a great company to deal with. They are responsive and courteous. I never have any problem and always get someone when I call. After hours, they'll call back quick after talking to a live operator and send a tech if it's an emergency. I was recently in a pickle as my oil went out overnight. Walt called first thing in the morning and had his guys at my house, back up and running before my family woke up to notice! THANKS SOUND ENERGY!

The home heating oil business is more complicated than you think. If it's keeping your new or older oil burner, tank and oil lines trouble free throughout the year you need professional service by trained mechanics. Sound Energy is a second generation business right here in Darien.
It's not just heating oil. Sound Energy adds special additives to absorb moisture and prohibit mold growth (sludge) in your oil tank. Controlling water and sludge means extended tank life which prevents leaks and ground contamination. Cleaner fuel means less clogged filters, fuel pressure and ultimate burning effiecently to not soot the inside of your furnace extending burner life and using less oil.
Professionals make it look easy, it's not. Call Sound Energy they're the best in the business.
