Had an oil tank replaced with this company in August. The first time the heat was commanded on ( in late October) the heat did not come on. A weekend call was placed and a technician came out very quickly and was able to identify and rectify the issue within an hour. Apparently the fusible link at the tank was left off. I then I received a bill for this service, of them correcting their mistake, and I called to ensure this bill wasn’t sent on accident. After walking a couple people through my scenario I had, who I believe to be the office manager tell me it was not their problem, that they could never make a mistake like that, and that someone else went down there and closed it after the job was completed.
People make mistakes, it’s how you recover from mistakes that keeps customers coming back. This was a 250$ bill that cost you a long term, multiple unit customer. I’ll be taking my business to Viking
Barrieau replaced a boiler in my home. The installation was done quickly and professionally. However, in the months following the installation, the connection between the oil tank and the oil lines installed by Barrieau developed a leak. I called Barrieau to request coverage under warranty. The quickly sent a technician to evaluate the leak. He very quickly stated that it was not related to the installation and charged for a service call. I disagreed, stating that no one had touched that part of the system other than their company but was told quite abruptly that it wasn’t going to be covered by warranty. Months later, following a home inspection, it was found that one of the heating registers in the home was not producing heat. Again, I requested Barrieau to repair the system and requested coverage under warranty. It was determined that the heating register had not been properly bled of air and needed to be done properly. I stated that the heating system had not been touched since their install but again was denied warranty coverage. Both of these issues were the direct result of their improper installation of the heating system. Their lack of support and accountability for the system as well as their rude customer service, even after choosing to spend thousands of dollars on a major purchase from their company, was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend doing business with this company. Although their prices were good and basic installation seemed fine, their support and customer communication following the service has been a terribly frustrating experience.

Salesman came out and was supposed to give me quotes for high efficiency and cast iron gas boilers. Four days later I received estimate for the high efficiency - 30% higher than other estimates I received. It has been 11 days and I still don't have the estimate for the cast iron boiler. I texted the salesman 4 days ago- no response.
This company stole my identity then started an account under my name. I reported them to the better business bureau where they said they didn't need my signature or approval. The owner has been nothing but disrespectful along with his staff calling me outside my name and threatening me to drop my case. Please be careful when doing business with these people.
Every representative I've encountered from Barrieau has been friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I always feel taken care of. Sophie in particular is always a pleasure to work with when I call. Thanks for the great service for the last 5+ years!
DO not bother using them unless its for oil. Anything else would be a waste of money. I got a service contract with them for three a/c units and they could care less when i called them to tell them i needed service on one unit that was not functioning.
These folks have always been quick to respond to any questions or problems with my heating ad cooling, and take time to explain repairs and maintenance so you know what has been done.
