While I was disappointed yesterday that they could not come out during the storm to fix my HVAC unit, Chris did come today - exactly at the time promised and the heater was fixed within a matter of minutes. Since new parts are also required, these were ordered on the spot. I've been a customer for over ten years, and I've come to expect fast, reliable, knowledgeable service.
Problem: Replace a 29 year old York furnance with a new and more efficient HVAC split system.
Outstanding work by all involved. Makayla was courteous on the phone during all conversations. Toby arrived on time, assessed the requirements, and quoted the cost for both a new Carrier furnace and air conditioning unit.
William G. Day Company's price was in the middle of eight others' bids, but provided the best overall value for the price. Specifically the selected A/C model's SEER rating, the 2-stage furnace, and Day's 10 year parts and labor warranty. Day's reasonable bid, also allowed us to upgrade the furnace to the next higher level, while remaining within budget; and before Carrier's next price increase.
We selected the Carrier brand over Trane, Lennox, et al, for its high reviews and ratings for overall reliability and satisfaction.
We selected Day over other competitors, based on its many customers' positive comments, and fine reputation for providing high quality service.
Even though all the equipment and related components arrived five weeks after being ordered, due to supply chain delays, Toby was able to schedule the install very promptly that same week.
Kevin and John arrived early on Friday morning as promised, and immediately when to work dissembling and removing the old heater and condenser. They worked diligently for over seven hours and ensured the furnace was fully operational for the weekend. The new furnance was dramatically better and faster in warming the house than its predecessor.
Kevin returned the following Monday, and immediately went to work installing the air conditioning unit and all the other appliances, pipes, and connections. He tested every component to ensure everything was working properly, thoroughly cleaned the area, and carefully explained all the equipment, how to maintain and use the system and Wi-Fi enabled thermostat.
Kevin, John, Toby, Makayla did an outstanding and professional job, working expertly together as a team. We will call William G. Day Company for our future plumbing, heating, and air conditioning needs; and am recommending them to neighbors for their high quality workmanship, commitment to excellence, courtesy, neatness, and professionalism.

We got a very good price and excellent value. Toby, Kevin, and Marco were courteous and great to work with. The installation was on time and on plan. Chris was the service pro that took care of the work I had to get done. He was here at 8:00am on the dot as promised. He got right to the jobs I had asked to be done.Installed two new faucets in our bathroom, new shower head and fixed a nonworking body shower head. He was vary courteous,neat ,and vary knowledgeable about his job.
After a friend recommended this company, I waited a week to get a Service Call- When Rich came, although I told the operator I needed service on 4 zones of AC-he refused to even TRY to make any repairs and claimed he was misinformed about the scope of work. Not only did he call to ask if he could come an hour before his appt because he had a cancellation, when I said it wasn't convenient, he came anyway! After he said there was nothing he could do (at noon!) he left and I called the operator with whom I made the appt-and I explained my problem. She claimed not to know anything about this and I told her if he could just replace one thermostat, I believed the one zone would work. She never even called me Back!!! Well, I waited until today and Servicemaster came from Dover-what professionals! They diagnosed the circuit breaker was off on two zones and the third and forth issue they will work on next week. Neither William Day nor anyone from the company had the courtesy to address my complaint and now, I feel people should know how I was treated as a customer and a friend of a client.

On a service call for AC not blowing cold air-who doesn't check the circuit breaker but claims I need a consultation for all new units!
I was having trouble with my water temperature in my shower. After a few days of cold showers, I called them. After working with me and listening to my issue, they were able to send someone out the next morning and fixed the shower. No more cold showers, thank you for your fast services!!
I was having some trouble with my HVAC system, gave them a call and they came out and fixed the problem. The lady on the phone was very nice and addressed all of my concerns thoroughly. The technician was quick to respond, very professional and explained a proper maintenance schedule so I'm prepared for next time. Absolutely recommend!
Maybe they can perform little side jobs but don't trust these guys to anything remotely difficult. They prolong my renovation by months.. They're only excuse was they were too busy, which is possibly the worst excuse. I'm guessing they just gave up at that point. Our contractor, whom I won't name. Never picked up my calls. So I decided to call him on another number, guess what he picked up. If you decide to go with these guys, good luck!
You will read a lot of reviews on here from tenants at the Preserve at deacons walk. But they are untrue. The holes and things in the wall are not something they did. These guys have worked incredibly hard and take a lot of nasty comments from the residents and stay positive. They do fantastic work!! This is a great company I would use in the future.
