Custom Heating & Air of Florida

Used this company to fix our AC unit. They told us we needed a second return and some work. They put one in next to our fireplace and in the same room just a few feet from our other return. We wanted it in a different spot but we're told it wouldn't work. The repairs and return cost us $1,575.00.

Within a few weeks of having our AC fixed it broke again. They came out and said it was over heating and melting the seals because they had missed a different issue. They said they would need to order new pieces which they would cover the price of but we would have to pay the $800 for their time to put them in. Also that it would take a week or so to get the parts.

We ended up calling Air McCall for a second opinion and they were able to fix the AC within 20 min for less than $300. They said the problem was a very minor one easy to fix. They also said our second return was put in a nonsensical place.

Needless to say we are happy to have a working AC unit again but feel cheated by Custom Heating and Air.

Honestly, the best service and price in the Jacksonville area. The Goodman units I have work fantastically. Have a 10 year warranty on parts and Custom Heating provided a bid and stuck to that bid price. That was 3 years ago. Recently I had a surge strike that caused some damages and they promptly came, rewired and set up protection. Again, at a much more reasonable price than you would expect. And the technician was professional, clear in his description of the needs and repaired for the price predicted even though he had to drive 20 miles to get a part we needed across town. No better company to use and I would recommend to anyone in the Jacksonville area! 10 stars if possible.

Jack is a very knowledgeable A/C technician. Quick to respond to his customers, takes care of their A/C and leaves the area spotless. Great prices and compassionate. I would definitely recommend him over the big guys for sure.

After dealing with humidity issues and talking to 3 other big HVAC companies who wanted to sell expensive products, I finally found some guys who knew their stuff. Gave me a fair price and took a lot of time to walk through all my questions and help with solutions.
