I have been using advance air care for a few years. They are my go to for repairs and maintenance. Very fair prices. They service my Tallahassee house and also my Wakulla vacation home. They have a local office and always pick up the phone….recently my thermostat wasn’t working. They came right away to get our air conditioner working….thank you!

My 23 year old system was nearing end of life. Advanced Air addressed my concerns and provided a competitive quote. The installation was done within weeks. They used drop cloths inside to minimize the mess and after the installation, performed a thorough clean up before leaving. The installation passed

After having Advanced Air replace our entire system a year ago. Which we have been very satisfied with especially the lower electricity bill each month. We had our first service/system maintenance performed by Chris and John. Both were knowlegeble and professional. They went above and beyond the basic annual service checks. After our heat pump system stopped blowing cold air on Friday night, we called the emergency after-hours number to have someone come out on Saturday. The gentleman came out to look at the fan outside and diagnosed the problem initially as low coolant and compressor thermal overload. He replaced the coolant, and while expensive ($399+), it was necessary because our system is 16 years old and it made sense some coolant may have leaked during that time. It turned out there was a lot of coolant that needed to be replaced so I asked the gentleman to look at the system in the house for any problems that could be related to why the coolant level was so low.
Since their last summer check up 5 months previously, the only issue they found was that the capacitor (16 years old) was on its last legs so they replaced it. So it was surprising to hear the gentleman found the evaporator coil was catastrophically leaking and there was no cheap, simple fix to repair the leak. It was going to cost ~$2k to replace the evaporator coil and there still might be a problem with the compressor since it had been thermal overloading (because of the coolant leak) which would cost more money to replace down the road. It made financial sense to get a whole new system installed so we went that route and ordered a 2.5 ton Trane heat pump system. The cost was what you would expect (~$5-6k) for a whole new system installation (10 year manufacture warranty and 1 year labor warranty).
Since the leak was found after adding 3+ lbs of the coolant and all that coolant just escaped into the atmosphere and we were going to order a new system through them, they prorated the cost of the coolant, which made sense to do and it's good customer service (this saved us a couple hundred dollars).
Because it was going to take a few days to get the new system ready to install and our system was not going to work in the meantime, the company loaned us temporarily a portable, floor A/C fan which was really nice of them. We used the couple hundred dollars that was saved with the prorated coolant cost to buy a window a/c unit for our bedroom.
Installation of the new system took about 7 hours and for the past week the system has been running great. We'll see how long before an issue arises with any of the parts for the Trane so it's too early to tell to rate if this Trane system is good value/good quality (TBD).
I can say the gentleman who came out on the weekend answered all my questions, explained everything in a clear and respectful manner, and saved us some money in the initial repair to help us get a window a/c unit, and made sure that we got the portable floor A/C fan for our living room. This is the level of service we should expect and we got it so thank you. The people who installed our system were great and didn't bother us while we we worked at home. We're currently waiting for a paid receipt so we can apply for a city rebate. I would recommend this company for general services and tune-ups. While these repair services are not going to be cheap (they have to make a living and these issues are infrequent enough to make up for the cost) the human experience with them for our situation was great.

The technician was Brandon and he was very professional and answered all my questions and provided helpful advice. Scheduling the service was very simple and I would recommend this company to anyone and will to the people I know.

I've been a loyal customer for over 14 years. Taylor and his staff have taken care of my homes and my rental properties. They recently replaced the ductwork under my house. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. No excuses, no delays. I wish all contractors had their work ethic.
