Jim was absolutely the BEST. We have done a pretty terrible job of ongoing maintenance with our A/C system, to say the least, and had no idea why our A/C was barely working this summer....it would turn on, but barely blow any air out. It was clearly working in terms of actually turning on, but cold air wasn't getting through to the house. Jim came within a day of us calling to schedule an appointment (this was during a pretty massive heat wave too, and the temp in our home was nearing 90). He was very prompt, and got right to work of trying to figure out the root cause, which ultimately took a few approaches to figure out.
Pretty much we had about everything going wrong that was possible, due to our own lack of maintenance, and also very unfortunately due to a horrible system of badly placed and non-code (i.e not glued or held in place properly!) PVC piping that Four Seasons had installed about 4 years back.
Jim ended up cleaning our dreadfully dirty compressor unit, and did a number of other things that day to test everything and make sure the A/C was working properly. After a full day, it was still not functioning properly, so I called him the next morning, and he came back out again that day to dig further into whatever the issue was! He ended up spending another few hours at our home that day, and finally got to the ultimate root cause of everything....which was unfortunately a challenge for him to fix/get to, again due to Four Seasons' really awful and short-sighted way of installing our HVAC system in the first place (i.e. NO access door for maintenance, and plumbing covering the vast majority of the area that needed to be accessed!).
Jim FIXED everything, and what we thought might be a need to replace our entire system, ended up being able to be fixed by him, giving us hopefully another few years with our unit/system, with much better maintenance on our end!
What I LOVED most about Jim, is that he never made me feel like an idiot for our horrible lack of maintenance, and he TAUGHT me along the way as to how the system works, so that we have a better idea of how to maintain it over time! He also did not just try and "sell" us a whole new system, which--given that I know nothing about such things--I may have fallen for. I feel like a lot of other companies out there would have just done that---tried to sell us a whole new system for several thousand dollars, versus trying a multitude of fixes along the way to keep the current system working.
I would so very very highly recommend Jim to anyone. For certain he will be our go-to AC/heating person for years to come, both for maintenance, AND for putting a new system in when the day comes that we need to. He is the owner of this business, so building a relationship with his clients seems to truly be something he values. I never felt like "just another client" where dollar signs were the ultimate driver. Instead, I felt like he really wanted to take care of us, and build a genuine service relationship built solely on trust.
I wish this was the "norm" for anything in the world of maintenance and repairs.....it can be tough to find the smaller, independently owned businesses out there, since the funding isn't available for mass marketing. I am just very thankful I found him when I google searched "independent AC service companies near Naperville"! Unfortunately I have had two issues in the last two weeks with a leaking furnace and Sump Pump that was stuck and grinding.
Fortunately I found Leipart Heating and Cooling who responded next day in one instance and same day in the other. As someone who is not handy Leipart came to my house and took the time to diagnose the issue then took time to explain to me the issues and why they had to fix what they did. They even offered to go to Home Depot and get me new filters.
From a pricing perspective they were well within budget in comparison to the other companies we called. They could have taken advantage of someone like me but did the exact opposite.
I can not recommend Leipart enough. With all the competition out there I recommend you give them a chance. They are a smaller company so give a much more personal experience. I have now met almost the entire crew and will call them with any issue I have.

Called them late in the day on Monday for a new furnace and AC unit for Tuesday. They were onsite ready to work the next morning. New equipment looks and runs great! What a difference from myold unit! Clean and professional crew!
