Had a new upstairs A/C heating system installed in July 2021 by Brooks. Found it not working yesterday. Brooks came out and found a loose tstat wire inside the system. This means that when they installed the system the technician did not make sure it was tight. Took the guy about 5 minutes to discover it. Brooks said the system agreement covers parts but not service and still charged me $86.20 for something that was their fault on the installation.
UPDATE: We were contacted by brooks and advised that they were going to refund the charge. Thank you for standing behind your work.
Horrible service. Should be reported on Ripoff.com. Cohearse customers into getting a maintenance plan to get discounts on services and or parts and is totally misleading. The techs we had come out are not well qualified to handle repairs, testing, or even talk with folks correctly. I gave them 289.00 for a contract and have gotten nothing out of it. My wife and I feel like we should report to BBB. But posting in places like this and telling everyone to steer away is more effective. Recently we had a leak on outside coil, they never offered to repair only wanted to replace. The price to replace was outrageous. I called another HVAC company, the coil was easily repaired and all is running efficiently. I wasted so much money with this company. Now since this review has been posted here and on other formats, they have been calling. Excuses are not results and I don't need to hear any of those. If they want the complaint rectified, send out an apology letter with a refund of the cost of the service contract. You had is over a chopping block with the irresponsible service and responses to our issue. Now that the public can read our concerns we have the sword. In this day and age of no loyalty, laziness and price gouging Brooks should needs to be aware, they have lost a customer for life. You have our address your welcome to send the refund to that.
We called Brooks today for the first time. They were here in 30 minutes. The tech that came out, Chris, found the problem immediately, quoted a price, returned and installed it in 45 minutes. Y’all have our business for good now. I just hope we get the same technician. Chris is a real asset to your company.
Service Tech David and the young guy that helped him were very friendly and worked diligently to get the unit looked after, cleaned and back to working like it's supposed to. Thank y'all again for being prompt, pleasant and getting us cool again!
My parents purchased an unit from Brooks. When the unit went out the service tech Chris was quick to get to the house and was very nice to my Mom. My Mom is a very nervous person so he was patient and kind to her which I though very highly of. Once the unit was condemned the salesperson was out the same day and had the quote ready that afternoon. From beginning to end my parents had a new unit installed a day after the old unit went out. I highly recommend Brooks Heating & Air to anyone that has heating and air needs.
Called on a saturday . They asked to charge extra for coming in a weekend. He stayed 20 minutes . told me my system is no longer working and needed to be replaced completely. Gave me the company number to call and get estimate for a new AC unit .He charged me $120 for 20 min.
On Monday I called another Company, he also stayed 20 minutes , told me there was a hole, which he sealed then charged the system with Freon and it has been ICE cold since.
I called Brooks, they apologized, and they sent me my money back.
I had to replace the A/C units and heaters in our house. I obtained numerous quotes and Brooks beat them all by far. The install was completed in only a day. Everyone from Stephen Sherman the salesman to the installers were a pleasure to work with. Don't hesitate to give them a call.
Our office got the run around from our last heating and air contractor for years. Since we switched to Brooks, everything had been perfect. their prices are fair and they come out as soon as they are called. I can tell you that you will never regret hiring this company.
I have used this company for years on the maintenance of my heating and air units. They have been reliable and delivered good service. My wife likes that they vacuum before they leave and they wear protective booties over their shoes so they don't mess up her carpet. They have showed up at midnight more than once when it was 100 degrees and my AC went out. I am happy with their service. Sometimes I think their prices are a bit too high but overall they are in line with other companies in the area. I would recommend them.
