I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had several major repairs in the first 5 years of the A/C unit being installed on my brand new home. Most notably, I went through a few compressors and no one ever tried to figure out why. They would just put a new one and move on instead of trying to figure out what was causing the issues. The coils, inside and outside, had to be changed, etc. Also, they will try and charge you labor within the first two years of a new install, if there is a repair. I had to email Donnie the Louisiana state law showing him he had to perform the work labor free. Donnie never came to see what was going on, his company would just call wanting to re-up my service contract. In one conversation when I expressed my frustrations to him, he said "I just install the units, I don't manufacture them." My reply was, " well you install them and stand by them." During the install of my new AC unit, after only 8 years of the one Broussard A/C installed, it was found that the plenum was way too short in length. Broussard A/C installed one about 9' long, the new one is 21' long to better distribute the air flow. The copper line from the outside unit up to the attic was found to be kinked in two places. Inside the copper pipes was several small shards of copper, and covered in dye from the times they had to repair leaks. The flex duct lines were way too long, making the air travel an unnecessary distance to get to the designated room. I could go on, and I wish I could attach before pictures of the Tappan unit Broussard A/C installed, and the new Trane unit installed by Ernie Boutte A/C, to prove what I'm saying. Its no comparison!! It went from looking like a hornets nest to a neatly installed system. Several people say Donnie is a great person, and I'm sure he is, I'm not attacking him personally. And his technicians were always professional. I'm just warning you about the company he owns and runs, and the type of work they do.
The AC techs were very courteous, polite, and very service minded. While installing vents in the ceiling they placed a box under the spot where they were cutting the sheet rock so that the dust would not get all over the office furniture. They even sweep up the small amount of dust that fell on the floor. My questions were answered in a calm, courteous manner.
Call there different occasion on Saturday in the mint of March. Spoke to there answering service and was told Matt Broussard was on call. I left 3 messages with the answering service and was told she relayed the message to to the on call tech. I never recieve a call back and the call was about a system they installed and the equipment is under warranty is was installed by them. Since my was not returned o had other arrangements made to ensure their customer was not left for the holidays with a.c.. Terrible service
Huge shout out to Mr. Donnie and Matt at broussard ac and heating . From trouble shooting my unit , to installing the new one . Everything was top notch . Office personnel was also a pleasure over the phone to deal with . All aspects of business was handled in an above and beyond manner . My family and I appreciate you all and I will be recommending you guys to anyone and everyone that I know . Thanks again
Looked at my extremely old AC unit that wasn't cooling well for all of 3 minutes. Added freon, and then went on their way. I'm no AC expert, but I know if you have to add freon there is a much bigger problem going on.
