I hired SM Mechanical for a home energy audit as well as replacement of a leaking heat pump/AC unit and upgrade from oil emergency gas to an electric air handler. In the process I made some additional energy efficient upgrades. There are not enough stars on here to adequately represent the work and service I received from this company. From the owner down, I enjoyed a professional experience and top rate service. The prices were lower than the other estimates I received, but more importantly, they explained the entire process thoroughly and answered the millions of questions that I threw at them. They are responsive and provide fast but comprehensive service. I will hire them again and again.

We had an energy audit done by Bob. He was responsive and explained everything so well in a way I would understand the results. He made recommendations to improve the efficiency of our home. He answered every question we had (and I had a lot!) and he always called us to respond and then, sent the information in an email. He was sensitive to our needs and timing to get things done. His team came and spent a week at the house between the duct sealing, attic insulation and installation of the HVAC system. He monitored his team and met them at our house when we couldn’t be there to let them in due to medical emergency on my part. How many people would go out of their way to do this? Bob is exceptional and I would not hesitate to use him or his team again. What are you waiting for?! Call him now for 5 star service!!

Brad and his SM Mechanical team Thomas and Clayton, did an excellent job replacing our HVAC system . BRAD responded to our issue in hours and provided a detailed explanation of our HVAC issues and a plan to replace. His team arrived on time and completed the work on time. Their installers were very knowledgeable and professional. They spent time showing me the issues with my old unit and educated me on the new system. It was one of my best experiences with a service company.. Thank You !

Bob has been out multiple times for a quote, home performance remediation, and HVAC installation. He has answered all my questions every single time, called me to make sure everything was good, and overall provided a fantastic experience.

Clayton and Anthony performed our install, and while they weren't able to finish the heat on the same day due a defective part, they made sure our cooling system was working prior to a 92 degree day. Anthony came back the next day to hook up the heat.

They were able to provide a significant value increase over just replacing the HVAC system at a very competitive price.

Overall had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for excellent HVAC work!

Our family would highly recommend SM Mechanical. For years we endured hot summers despite AC being turned on, a mediocre water heater, and high energy bills. Bob came out and performed an energy audit and found our water heater needing replaced, no insulation in our attic, and air leaks in our duct work! Our cool air was being trapped in the floor through a duct that was never sealed off! Bob quickly and conveniently scheduled us a new hybrid water heater installation, had insulation placed in our attic, & performed an Aeroseal on our duct work. Once they sealed off the duct work that was just leaking air into the floor and fixed other duct work, our upstairs has NEVER been cooler. SM Mechanical even found us rebates to use and having this work done will save us thousands in the upcoming years. Their crew were on time, professional, and even vacuumed up their mess! Would highly recommend this company for your HVAC needs. :)

Wow- this company was great!! We are very pleased w/the service, and recommend this company highly. They were honest, professional, and did high-quality work on the installation of our new steam boiler. Brad came out quickly and gave us a fair and reasonable bid on the work. After receiving a couple of additional bids on the work, we decided to go with SM Mechanical, and we are thrilled w/our decision because they were able to schedule us quickly and did a beautiful job with the installation. We unfortunately had a not-so-great experience with a different HVAC company prior to trusting our job with SM Mechanical, so it was refreshing and reassuring to feel that we were in honest and capable hands throughout this process. S.M. Mechanical did a fantastic job from start to finish. They performed a full system replacement, outdoor unit relocation, and also did some modifications to the existing ductwork to meet their high standards. A few months ago, our floorboard hydronic heating system died and we sought out estimates for a replacement of our boiler and installation of a tankless water heater. SM Mechanical had the best price and was the most responsive to our request. The installation team was professional, friendly, and worked hard to be the least intrusive as possible. They also kept the costs in line with the estimate without a dollar over projected cost.
