hi — “WMHC&P” installed a “Mitsubishi 8 blower/3 condensers” whole house Mini-Split “system” in 2018, and has been providing yearly maintenance since. The “system” they set-up works exceptionally well & is super easy to use. They are consistently friendly, professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and responsive! I’m so happy with EVERY thing about them!!!

We used Western Mass Heating, Cooling & Plumbing for a whole house heat pump installation. We are completely satisfied with the work and with all interactions with the company. A big thanks to the install team: Jeff, Nick and Jordan. A shout out as well to Lauren who advised from start to finish of the project. Everyone we worked with with professional and friendly. They made the project easy. I can't recommend them enough.

We are extremely happy with the team that put in our mini-splits. Chase, Mike, Nick, Jordan, Jeff, Thomas, and Ted were completely professional and respectful during their time on our property, and were understanding and accomodating with our two recent rescue dogs! What a good crew. Lauren was great to work with in the set-up of the job as well. Thank you all.

We hit the jackpot with these folks. They really, really know what they are doing - efficient, professional, timely, courteous, tidy, helpful, spot on with the estimate, and once all is done they do not just drop you and move on. The after-installation follow-up and care is the best. Maximum kudos to VP of Operations Patrick, and stellar crew - Chase, Mike, Jordan. We would give double the stars if we could.

Ben, Frank and Sam were fantastic to work with. From estimating to installation and explanation of how the system works. They were top notch. Very professional, very respectful of our home. Would highly recommend the Western Mass team.

So glad I called them! Another condo owner in my building referred them to me. Very professional and every person I interacted with was super friendly and knowledgeable. Heather was so helpful , Chelsea and Jessica were awesome! They helped me quickly and answered all my questions. Everyone is communicative each step of the way. Great experience all around and I will be using them as often as possible. Highly recommend.

Nothing by confidence in their ability and knowledge.
I’ll be needing a new furnace next year. No doubt in my mind who I will use: Western Mass HVAC

Scheduled a consultation to see what our options would be for replacing an old water heater. Was told by office staff that the consultation would be free, but when on the phone with the consultant found out that there would have been a cost related to miles for the drive out. The consultant, Andy, was amazing! Didn't come out to avoid the fees and told us what our initial issue might have been (which self-corrected), explained that our current hot water tank is one of the best ones from its time and they're still good even today, told us that a heat pump wouldn't be worth it for our setup (tank is in a closet without enough circulating air) and to get a smaller electric tank if/when we need to replace it. Truly felt like Andy had our best interests in mind and found him to be very trustworthy. We probably wouldn't have replaced our tank anytime soon because the issue did self-correct, but we were happy to have such a great experience for the consultation.

Called to ask if he could show up 3 hours early, mike resolved the heating problem quickly and then checked the boiler top to bottom, he showed me photos of all the issues he though may cause me problems down the road and the made recommendations and it made it easy to make a decision. I would recommend western mass h/c to anyone looking for plumbing svc.

I called due to a leak under the kitchen sink. It was a simple repair, and since the plumber and her apprentice were already out for the call, I asked her to look at a dripping bathroom faucet. She was unable to loosen it to find the problem, so I told her not to worry, that I would replace it in the future. Unfortunately, what she had done while trying to loosen the faucet resulted in more than a drip, it was now a steady stream of water. We agreed that she should just replace the faucet since she was already out on the service call. She did so, and all was well. The apprentice was there with her watching, but the plumber did the labor. Then I got the bill. In addition to the simple faucet fixture costing over $200, and the service/labor charge, I was charged $75 for the apprentice's labor. I called the company and spoke to the Accounting Department about my invoice. I was told that because all of the Smith Voc apprentices need to do their training and have billable time towards their training, customers are charged for their labor. This is great for their training, but I think it should be made clear to customers that we will be paying extra for the apprentice's time. This was not mentioned to me at all until I called about my invoice, and the explanation I was given was not satisfactory in terms of customer service and relationship. This was a very expensive simple job, and although they fixed it, I probably won't use them for plumbing in the future.
*Update: I did receive a call from the owner, Scott. He said that he agreed with me that on this type of plumbing call, the customer should not be charged for the apprentice's labor, and they did remove the charge from my bill. He also said that they would review their policy on this. I am changing my rating to 4 stars, as they did quickly resolve this with me. I also explained that the plumber damaged my bathroom faucet, causing it to further leak, while trying to get it to stop dripping, which resulted in my decision to replace the faucet immediately. He did not address that concern.
