My gas furnace quit working and I called Michigan Energy. Kevin answered my call and sent someone out quickly. The technician was great! He explained what was going on and fixed the problem fast. I would recommend Michigan Energy Services to anyone.
From start to finish Michigan Energy Systems was great to work with. During initial quoting they provided multiple options and explained them all to us. We chose to have a full closed loop Geothermal system installed. They were always on time and showed up every day they said they would. All of the employees were courteous and they cleaned up every night. The job was done with great professionalism and we are happy to hired them.
I highly recommend Michigan Energy Services! We were so impressed with their professionalism, quality of work, and friendliness. We will always use this company in the future going forward!
You won't find a better team to help install and maintain your geothermal and HVAC. Several years ago despite multiple service visits, we could not find a knowledgeable company to assist with our geothermal units. Since that time, Rob, Matt, Kevin, and the entire Michigan Energy Services team have been punctual, knowledgeable, and above all fair and honest in helping us with our home needs.
Stop looking around, this is the company with the best expertise in geothermal in southern Michigan.
The service technicians were polite, efficient, and eventually did a good job replacing a failed heat-pump compressor. I was told that a replacement compressor was "in stock" and since it was very cold outside and inside, l said to go ahead. But it took another 8 winter days before the compressor was installed. The explanation was that "in stock" meant at a remote distributor. To most people, it would be interpreted to mean the part is immediately on hand. And, although I was told that the $195 initial service charge would be applied to the repair cost if l had MES do the repair, the service manager refused to honor that arrangement. I would give 5 stars to the technical staff, but 1 star or less to the service manager.
After doing business with them for 10 years. Was going to buy a geo unit from them. Service and sales manager were so unprofessional and only worried about how much money they can make not whether they could help. This was on a 95 degree day. No air, no heat. If you want something from these guys watch your wallet. Very disappointed.
Update...After finding a technician to work with ClimateMaster, they found there was nothing wrong with our unit. This after MES told us it was bad and needed to be replaced then quoted another for $20K. We are enjoying air conditioning and not sweating needing to spend $20K. This was beyond disappointing. Talk about being betrayed!
Right from the beginning, Kevin the serviceman, was obviously very knowledgeable and professional. He found 2 problems with our old Geothermal unit missed by other companies and just seemed to have a handle on things at a totally different level than any other company we have used for our Geothermal HVAC. He spent lots of time with us, clearly explaining everything without any hard sell. Matt, in sales, was the man who worked with us choosing our new unit and helping us make informed decisions. He was also extremely knowledgeable and professional and helped us quite a bit navigating an area that we knew very little about.. The installer, Dan and his team, were exceptionally competent, cleaning up after themselves, solving several unanticipated problems that showed up that related to our old system and taking responsibility that the job was done correctly. Kristin, who set up the appointments was extremely flexible, working with us to find times that worked with my crazy schedule. They all returned calls, showed up on time, and were a pleasure to work with. Excellent company. If you are considering using them don't think twice. You will not be sorry. They are fabulous!
We've used Michigan Energy Services to install Geothermal systems at two houses now, and both times, we've been absolutely satisfied. They are consistently professional and personable. Everyone we speak to there has demonstrated an extensive understanding of the products/services they sell, as well as a passion for their jobs. They are a delight to deal with, and we absolutely LOVE our geothermal systems. I can't recommend them enough!
We got a text telling us when the tech would arrive and Kevin showed up right on time. He found the problem with our Geothermal system right away and was able to fix it on the same visit. From our first phone call to the completion of the service this company was very professional and efficient. I would definitely refer them and will call again if I need service in the future.
When the owner of Michigan Energy tells a customer “we don’t have time to babysit your system”, it tells you everything you need to know. I had two Water-furnaces installed plus duct work on a new construction in 08 for $30,000. I have had some issues with the water pump solenoids over the years and the repairs by Kevin were perfect and professional. A few years back, I was advised that the company recommended I convert to a solenoid-free system which would eliminate the $80 part that wears out at a cost of about $1500. I opted not to since the cost to replace was significantly lower. Now of course, the only time these go bad is in the dead of winter. Well my last system breakdown seemed to exhibit a familiar issue. I did the trouble shooting and found I could not remedy the issue. A relatively new repair specialist, not Kevin, was sent to my house to assess and repair the issue. Well, the repair lasted about 24 hours, cost $385, he didn’t replace any parts, used my previously replaced solenoid, and I found the repair guys chewing tobacco spit-bottle next to my furnace. Disgusting!! I requested Kevin the second time and he was able to get it fixed, $95. When I called to speak to Rob about the follow up repair cost, I complained the repair wasn’t done correctly the first time and he didn’t know what he was doing. Rob’s response was “he does know what he’s doing, and if I had replaced the valves a few years ago like (he) told me, (he) wouldn’t have to keep babysitting my equipment.” That was then end of the conversation.
I realize these guys are busy. Kevin is a fantastic technician and a respectful person. I realize customers want the best value for their money, and a fair job. What I got from Rob was disdain, snarky attitude, and terrible customer service. I’ve been in sales for over 35 years. I’ve learned the “customer is NOT always right, but the customer is ALWAYS the customer.” This is one customer that will never recommend Michigan Energy Service to anyone.
