My HVAC heat went out last night at 11pm... rough night. Called numerous companies this morning and Jim with Mechanical Building Systems was the only one to call me back. He was honest and told me he had a huge job which required most of his staff last night and today... but he offered to stay in touch via text. I sent him pictures, descriptions of what I was dealing with and he responded every time with instructions... which were perfect. HVAC is working and inside temperature steadily rising this morning. JIM = YOU ARE THE MAN!! Merry Christmas... MBS will be my go to HVAC service company from here on out!!!
After moving into our new home, we had issues with our A/C almost right off the bat. The seller informed us that Mechanical Building Systems had installed the system.
To their credit, they did have someone out to look at our issue very quickly.
However, once the work was done and the technician left, things went downhill.
Although I was told that the system was still under warranty, and the tech informed me that the unit hadn't been properly configured when it was installed, MBS still sent me an invoice for almost $200.
The technician indicated that the blower wasn't configured correctly, and that he believed that that is why the system had frozen over and stopped working.
Jim Yingst, who I believe is the owner, explained that I was receiving an invoice because the sellers hadn't changed the air filter.
I had replaced the air filter earlier that day, but Jim claimed that the Technician indicated that the system still had the original air filter that had been installed several months prior.
Since I had personally changed that filter earlier that day, I knew this was not true. Even though it wasn't true, this was why Jim claimed that I was receiving an invoice.
The tech did get the system back up and running quickly, but our home is not cooled appropriately - walking from one room to another there is often several degrees difference - but Jim wasn't willling to listen to those issues.
I will pay the invoice due, but I will find another, more trustworthy company to service my equipment in the future.
Jim and his team did an absolutely awesome job replacing all our duct work. His team are true craftsman, extremely polite and professional . The end product was exceptional. I highly recommend talking to Jim for any of your HVAC needs. Tom Dudenhoefer
