The best professional tech service since we moved to this area 8 years ago. Listened attentively to the issue I had with a mini split HVAC unit and responded for service in a very timely manner. Ben and his two crew members were above all skilled, but also courteous and professional. Ben patiently answered my (many) questions and volunteered his expertise to ensure long term efficient and safe operation of the unit. I’ve already referred him to my sister for her new whole house system.

I needed a new furnace and air conditioner. After doing a lot if research I decided to go with Ben's Heating and Air Conditioning instead of calling the big local outfits who are name brand dealers. Choosing Ben's was the best decision I've made this year. Ben and his crew were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They removed my old furnace and AC quickly and efficiently. I watched as these guys installed my new furnace and AC and was BLOWN AWAY by the level care and attention to detail as they worked. Best of all I saved $ thousands by choosing Ben's and they left my home and yard cleaner then they found it! Now, I have a quality HVAC system and peace of mind because I also joined Ben's maintenance program. For a small fee Ben's will come back every Spring and Fall to make sure my system is operating correctly and efficiently. I could go on and on I'm so happy. Thanks Ben! It is with regret today that I post this negative review. But I am at a loss for what else to do. Ben did a repair for me a couple of years ago — it involved a problem with my AC that emerged during an intense heat spell. Unfortunately, the problem he had supposedly repaired reemerged the first time it got really hot out again. Here’s why: as part of his repair, Ben replaced the metering device on the unit. There is a label on the unit that says, “Caution: the metering device for this must match that shown on the outdoor unit,” and then it specifies the part number that must be used. Ben had used a different metering device. When the problem reemerged — which is when I was able to see that he had used the wrong metering device — I invited him to come and correct it, but he insisted that it was OK to have used this different metering device. I'm sure that's what he believed. It turned out to not be OK. And it took quite a bit of effort to test everything else that could potentially be causing the problem and to eliminate those possibilities before eventually replacing the metering device Ben had installed with the one specified on the unit — which did, as it turned out, fix the problem. All of this cost me a lot. Truthfully, I feel that Ben should cover all the costs associated with correcting his error, but I have only asked him to cover half, which he has refused to do. I am hoping he may still do the right thing.

Ben's is the greatest! Installed earlier this year. Also recently came out to look at a repair that ended up not even being HVAC related just to be sure we were taken care of! Highly recommend!

I called Ben about AC problems, and he sent his tech over that same day. I went ahead and ordered an AC installation from him the next day, and the day after that he installed it at a good price. He was quick and professional.

Edit to respond to the reply: I messaged Ben directly and told him my issues. Asked him to pick a Friday and come fix it. He did not respond. This was all well before I wrote my review. He didn’t respond, so I fixed it myself then wrote my review.

To anyone who has them install anything, get it inspected when they’re finished.

Got a furnace put in for cheap. That about where the positives end. It was not installed properly. They ran a flex gas line through the body of the furnace with no protection, which is very basic knowledge of HVAC code. Not to mention it can be a huge problem if the line is touching the metal edge (mine was) over time, the flexible line will rub through and a gas leak will happen this is a really big deal. They did come back and fix that when I sent a photo. While he was here I had him listen to the new rattle noise that came with the furnace. He basically told me that it was the water trap, it hadn’t run enough cycles to fill yet. This made sense so I let it go. Fast forward a couple weeks, the rattle is still there. Messaged Ben, no reply. I investigated and found a panel with stripped screws. Messaged Ben again, got a reply with a bit of a condescending tone about how he’ll have to drive all the way up here just to put in bigger screws. So I did it myself. In the process I found a screw in the blower, my furnace filter box was not sealed up against the furnace, the AC coil was not level and the drip pan retains water instead of fully draining (it drained fine before the furnace install) I messaged Ben, no reply. I’ve chalked it up as a lost cause. I would definitely not recommend this company to a friend. Many of the issues I described would have caused problems down the road. Including mold from the moisture sitting on the drip tray, heat exchanger failure due to the furnace not being level, and danger of explosion from a leaky gas line because it was installed against code (they did fix this issue). If I didn’t know what I know about HVAC, all of those things would have gone unchecked and unnoticed. I fixed all the issues with the installation on my own and had my work inspected. If you had your furnace installed by them, have it inspected. If you are looking to have a furnace installed by them, walk away.
