Cool Crew installed a wonderful oil furnace and removed our old, heavy one. There is no problem with our new furnace. The reason for 2 stars is that, by code, they should have had us have our 130+ year old chimney lined. Daniel Heck (installer) told us our chimney was good to go. The red dye from the unburned oil seeped through the brick in the flue and stained the white stucco on the side of our house. Beware! Make sure YOU understand required codes for installation. Cool Crew won't acknowledge responsibility!
**UPDATE** We just got our chimney lined...but the stain got much worse than shown in the picture before a chimney company could get out here to line it. Seriously folks, if Cool Crew had only told us to get an inspection this wouldn't have happened. Now we have the expense of washing, sealing and painting to cover the hideous stain. This stucco has never been painted. Our house is 130+ years old but the stucco was in perfect condition. Now we'll have to paint every few years. Ugg! Make sure you know the codes for a furnace install!!! Cool Crew needs to go back to school on codes!

They did an outstanding job installing our mini-splits. They were professional, knowledgeable, personable, polite and took time to answer all of our questions, of which there were many. They completed the job well within the expected time and did an outstanding job cleaning the area each day and when the job was finished to the point you couldn't tell they were here. I highly recommend them and plan on contacting them for our future needs.

Recently needed my furnace serviced and found that the oil tank was dangerously weak. The men that were out doing the work on the furnace were amazing and helpful. The office called me immediately to set up an appointment with a sales member to talk options and he was out the following week. He actually talked me out of the most expensive option down to a more reasonable one and took to time to tell me why he was recommending it. He took time and answered all of my questions and didn't show any signs of frustration. We had a game plan in order before he left that afternoon. Within 2 weeks all was repaired and I was back on my plain for fuel delivery. The men who did the install were also an amazing and clean job. When I had a further question on my invoice the office answered it promptly and were polite. I have 0 complaints ane would definitely recommend Rhodes and the Cool Crew to others.

Never use this company. If they mess up on something, they will expect you to pay to fix it. We do not even get oil from this company and they delivered oil to our house. I called and explained that we do not get from them and that they put it into our house, when they were not supposed to. They admitted that the guy went to the wrong address, but they expected us to pay for the oil. Absolutely not!! It was not my mistake, it was there mistake for not paying attention to the address and the house they were at. So it is their responsibility to take care of it, not mine. I will make sure all of the people I know, no longer use this company.

Rhoads Energy is our propane supplier and is a fantastic company. Their customer service is very responsive. I smelled propane in the house today, called them and they immediately had someone to assist to tell me what to do and then dispatched service teams that arrived in 30 min and took care of everything. Their propane rates are also very reasonable, much lower than the large corporate service i was with before. Highly recommend this company.

NEIGHBOR, BEWARE!
When we enrolled with Rhodes, we were promised a company that might have had slightly higher prices, but offered a people-oriented, family-owned company that we could trust.
We began a 12-month pre-buy contract that locked in the price of our oil. One stipulation of this pre-buy contract was that we had to enroll in automatic refills, meaning they could show up to refill our tank whenever they wanted.
About 6 months into our pre-buy contract, we stopped using oil heat (it was now spring/summer) and we finished the cold season with a tank 3/4 of the way full.
After our contract expired 6 months after that, we decided not to renew it, and assumed that since automatic refills were a stipulation of the contract, that we were done with those too.
Well, just a couple of weeks after our contract expired, Rhodes came and automatically topped up our tank at the skyrocketing oil prices- we were footed with a $600 bill we were not expecting. First off WHY would we expect them to come and fill a tank that was 3/4 full?!
Second, Rhodes had 6 MONTHS to come around and top up our tank for our contracted price, and yet they waited until our contract just expired (after the market went sky high!) to fill our tank and charge us 3x the price of oil. What a SCAM!
Rather than sticking to their commitment and charging us the price they agreed to even when the market was high, they waited for our contract to run out and stuck US with the bill before we even needed more oil.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Haven't had any issues with Rhoads, I've used them for years and they've done good work. I get my furnace serviced by them annually, with very competent technicians and no complaints from me, and I've had an AC unit installed by them. I'm giving them 5 stars since I don't feel like they've tried to up sell me anything or rip me off, they've been straightforward with their responses since I've started my account with them close to a decade ago. If I had to say one thing they could implement, which isn't needed just a good want, is to send a reminder of a service appointment when it's about a week out. Though I should mark it in my calendar :) which is why I don't mark it against them.
