Sanks was contracted to diagnosis an issue with my central air conditioning unit , through a warranty company. I waited basically all day and no one came or called. I found out the next day that they didn't come because they decided to refuse the job. It would have been nice if they had just communicated to me or the warranty company that they decided they were not going to come and I would not have had to sit there all day waiting. From the reviews given, this is a good company. But not communicating with a customer is not a good thing . That is disappointing and doesn't leave a good impression at all.

My hot water heater broke, causing my basement to flood. Sanks Mechanical came out within a hour, the very day I called, and had my hot water heater replaced in no time! They were extremely fair in price, everyone was so professional, the installers wore shoe coverings, and left the work space cleaner than what they came into. They even made sure to double check that the water didn't damage our heating system. I couldn't have imagined a more pleasant experience, especially at such a chaotic time! I will definitely be using their services going forward!

Tyler was out again, today (7/6/23) to work on one of my four HVAC systems. As always, excellent work, clean, in and out quick. Hooray Tyler and hooray, Sanks!
I am very very impressed with all of the work that Tyler, clearly an expert mechanic from Sanks, did on my four HVAC systems today. April 27, 2023. On one hand, they all needed seasonal adjustments, but Sanks certainly went out of its way in terms of the thorough testing that it did, as well as the clear explanation of what I could do next to maintain my systems or upgrade them. Tyler worked fast, efficiently and clean, and what I was charged could not have been more reasonable. As the President of the Condo Assn where I live in Center City, I have been recommending Sanks, over the last two years, to all of our condo unit owners, based on some work that the company did for me a while back. And indeed, in light of today's experience, I feel more than vindicated and justified in continuing to recommend this absolutely excellent company! Thank you Tyler, and thank you, Sanks-- keep up the good work!

I hope that it is ok to post two reviews six months apart, and indeed I am posting this second review because I am so impressed with the consistent high quality work of this company. Back in January I needed general maintenance of my rooftop HVAC unit, and Sanks did a great job for a modest price.
Since then, in my capacity as President of the Condo Assn where I live, I have recommended Sanks to a half dozen owners, all of whom reported back to me their own satisfaction with the company. I hardly expected that last week my own AC system would completely "die," and indeed I was getting zero cooling.
So I called Sanks at 3 pm on one weekday, and they had a super mechanic on my roof the next day at noon. He fixed the problem in a half hour, and the best part was his honesty: given the fact that my equipment is 15+ years old, he could have easily told me that I needed a complete new system, and I would have not been in any position to challenge his word: I simply would have been out several thousand dollars.
Instead, he found the one part within the system that had burned out (a capacitor), and thus the total cost to me turned out to be only $250 (parts, labor and service-call fee).
Thank you, Sanks, and thank you, John, the super mechanic who now knows my roof quite well! I give you guys an unreserved five-star recommendation.

I love this company. My heater went out and I couldn’t find anyone to come the same day and it was freezing. I called Sacks and they had someone out to my house and reputed my heater within a hour. I’m completely satisfied with them. My #1 referral!!

Awesome service! From the first call, the level of customer service is prompt and clear. The heating in my space stopped, as the temperatures sank! The technician Tyler arrived and called as requested, in the time window given. He checked the systems and took care of the work as needed. The communications are concise and clear, and the technical troubleshooting with efficient resolve to the problem. Thank you for getting it done - well!

I don't do many reviews, but our experience was so good I had to post this one. We've had chronic issues with our 6 year old system (had had an underpowered for our house system installed) and got little guidance from other companies on how to address them. The woman who took my initial call recommended I set up a service call to get the system evaluated. Tyler was extremely professional and did a comprehensive evaluation. He tried what will hopefully be a simple fix, but also spent a lot of time going over the pros and cons of the options we have if it doesn't work. I felt he truly went above and beyond my expectations.
