Hands down would recommend Lauffenberger Heating and Air to anyone!! Mark and John were phenomenal! They answered the phone immediately gave us a time they'd be here and stuck to it. They came out as an emergency call on a Sunday of having no heat for the whole 18° night. They came out, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and explained the problem to us. They also answered all of my husbands questions about our furnace and heating system and even gave him ideas for him to help keep it running smoothly and was also amazing with the price especially for an emergency call!! 10/10⭐
Please don't call this person. Lauffenburger came to my residence on 5/23/23. He tried to talk me through troubleshooting my thermostat via phone, but I was not comfortable. I'll happily pay for a professional to help. Trying to get him to come over was a little difficult.
It turns out our contactor needed replaced. He said he would order this part and that it would be here in a few days. A week and half and multiple reach outs later, radio silence. I finally gave up and called a different company. They were at my house in minutes, and had the system fixed the same day. The part needed is apparently a very common part that shouldn't "need ordering". After consulting some friends, it turns out that my situation is pretty common for customers of Lauffenburger, which is sad.
Save yourself the stress. Don't rely on this company.
He definitely knows what he is doing but getting him to come and fix something this heating season seems to be a challenge. I used him last winter when I had no heat. I called in the evening after hours. He called me right back which I did not expect, then came out the very next day, and I had a fix that afternoon. I was very pleased and thought I had found my go to guy for all things heating. I don't know what happened between last season and this one, but I called him in October as I was having some flooding issues with my furnace. I had to call a few times as he did not return my calls at first. When I finally got a hold of him, he stated it was an extremely busy time but he would find time to come take a look. He came out within a few days which was great. He told me it was the condensate pump which would need to be ordered and would be expensive. I told him to move forward with the purchase and get it fixed. He showed me how to "jiggle it" in the meantime so it wouldn't leak. I waited for several months and didn't hear back. I figured he was super busy so I waited.
For three months, I would come home from work to find I had intermittent flooding, which was worsening each time. And then it got to a point where jiggling no longer worked. So in January, I called again. His response was "so you are telling me I was supposed to order a condensate pump for you?" Apparently he had forgotten. Hey, it happens. So I told him I now had continued flooding and was now worried about mold, as the water was seeping under the cabinets. At this point, I was using my heat very sparingly. He said he'd reach out early the following week and I never heard from him again.
I called another company on Feb 24, who came out first thing the next morning. They fixed the problem within 10 minutes with a new pump, which I was told was a common, in-stock item. They also told me I was very lucky there was no damage to the furnace from the water by waiting this long, as the water leaking out is apparently very acidic. Shame on me for waiting 5 months for Lauffenburger to fix this when I could have had this taken care of quickly had I just called someone else. But I was trying to be loyal to someone who did a fantastic job last season. Lesson learned...
I just found out that this happened to someone else in May. So I am definitely not the only person getting ghosted.
I needed a reputable contractor to move my appliances. They were on time. And did a wonderful job. I could not be happier. They also installed my ice maker.
Mark promptly came to my house and repaired my furnace. He took time to explain the problem and what the remedy would be. I highly recommend Mark Lauffenburger.
