I've used Affordable Aire for a couple of years as provider of Heating and Cooling needs at my residence. My aging (and out of warranty) unit reached the point where it was more economical to replace rather than continue to repair. Of course, the old unit "died" during the hottest time of the summer. The crew from Affordable Aire got my new unit ordered, delivered, and installed in just a couple of days.
The technicians are excellent. They corrected some problems from incorrect install of old unit (was there when I bought house) and should be commended for the professional manner in which they work. They take "old school" pride in their work and follow up to make sure I was satisfied with all they did.
Give them A+ rating...total experience was positive.
I had to call my home warranty company when the AC stopped working and their contractor was Affordable Aire. When they did their initial inspection, it was determined that the evaporator coil was bad. The tech from Affordable Aire also mentioned he will have to replace the thermostat and run a new thermostat wire that was compatible with our unit. This work would not be covered by my home warranty and would cost $410. We did not want the work done but he told warranty company that our thermostat was not compatible with the unit and he would not warranty the evaporator coil if we did not let him do the thermostat work. I contacted the home warranty company with the research on both our existing thermostat and the unit and they passed along the information to the contractor. The contractor ignored the information presented and still insisted that the thermostat be replaced or he would not warranty the work. During this time, the contractor was also questioned about the cost of the thermostat. The part alone was $195. He assured my wife that it was a high-end thermostat that normally cost $300. Since we were pretty much getting ripped off anyway, the temperatures were in the 90s, and my family were stuck suffering in the heat, I decided to give the ok for the work. At least I would have a nice thermostat, right? Oh how very wrong I was. The contractor replaced my full featured touch screen display with a $75 push button unit. The main AC unit where they did the coil work also did not look so great. The metal duct that connects to the AC unit is separated and needs to be caulked and you can feel air around where the thermostat wire exits the duct and runs along the unit. You would think that an area small enough to run a wire through and the only place they touched would have been double checked for air leaks. It is apparently too much to ask companies these days to check their work. My complaints were ignored again. I called 3 other AC companies in my area and this $410 job would have cost me $170 to $200 for the same thing. Since Affordable Aire is attached to my home warranty, I guess I will have to void the warranty in the future and go along with a company that will get the job done right without gouging its customers. End story, do not use this company if you don't have to.
I called Affordable Aire because my AC unit stopped working. Their technician came to my house, inspected the unit and told me I would need a new compressor and outdoor fan motor at a total cost of over $1000. A family member suggested I get a second opinion so I did. I called a different company, they sent out a technician and within 2 minutes of his arrival he determined the compressor was fine and did not need to be replaced. Five minutes later, the A/C was blowing cold air in my house. I don't know if Affordable Aire was trying to scam money because they knew I was desperate (my thermostat read 92 when they showed up) or if they are just incompetent. Either way, people in Clarksville should know there are better options for Heating and A/C repair.
Our adventure started with snow and cold weather and the heater was out. We called our home warranty which sent out one company that couldn't fix the problem and we waited for four days before they sent us Affordable Aire, from Clarksville, TN. Cindy was excellent in dispatching a technician to our house. They arrived at my house and within a two hours of us calling them. The technician took the time out of their busy schedule to attend our emergency. The technician was very professional and courteous. Thank you Affordable Aire Heating and Cooling, YOU ROCK!!!!
My HVAC unit went out, Affordable Air came out and gave me four options. Option 1 was the bear minimum just to get the unit going. Option 4 the best. After doing the research and investigation of the brand they use. I felt confident enough, contacted Affordable Air and asked when they can install the new unit. Well in one day they completely ripped out the old and installed the NEW. Between myself and my wife they must has answered about 60 questions. What is that ? What does that do? How long you've been installing HVAC unit. Never skipping a beat they answered all questions and kept us involved and infirmary with the installation. They did excellent work, my HVAC is awesome. Thanks again Affordable Aur.
On April 9, 2015 we had Action Air come service our new unit that they had installed last year. We have used them at our previous home and a rental house we owned. They have proved to be the best in Clarksville as being afordable, accurate and just the best. Antony Johnson was our service tect and was very pleasant and assured me that everything was working as it should. Thanks Action Air
What can I say.... I have been using them since 2006. Heat went out on New Year's Eve and I called New Year's day and he was here really quick. Resolved the issue and filed it to the warranty. No out of pocket expenses on a Holliday. Even past repairs on the old unit he was always the most reasonable... THANKS Tad.
Air has been out for 4 days now. Have a solution to fix it until the warranty part comes in..........still no results. I bet if his mothers AC was out in this heat they would make something happen to cool the house. Stay away from this company!!
Beware. Passive-aggressive owner who looks for opportunities to argue with his customers. Stayed home to be here for the service I scheduled, they pulled a no-show. Competition turned out to be $25 cheaper and they didn't have a chip on their shoulder.
