We have used Stan's for over eight years and they have consistently serviced our equipment well. They installed our current systems and we have had no reason to look for another provider. The back office is professional and they communicate well about costs and scheduling. They send texts when a technician is on the way. We have had the same technicians come to our home and they have gotten to know the set up. The one time we had an issue, it was handled professionally. When the time comes to replace our system, we will have them do the work because of our track record with them. It is nice to have a trusted provider on call for such an important system in our home.

When technicians don't feel like working they tell you it's not possible or not worth the price. Prices are extreme (charging over $100 for removing some water from the drip tray is outrageous). The job was done poorly and came undone within 2 days. This is the 2nd 4-hour appointment and they are late again. I miss the old company before Stan's took over. They were prompt and the job they've done lasted over 10 years.

But in Austin in heat indexes in the triple digits, air conditioning can mean life or death, especially when old equipment suddenly gives up the ghost. That’s what happened to us. Our old system bit the dust the first day we had triple digit temps, and we were in a panic. In walk our heroes (really first responders of sorts) from Stan’s: David (engineer) and (techs) Roy and Matthew. These guys came to our rescue. They were polite, professional, and prompt. They know their technology, they know how to work with the city and your finance options. They are empathetic and patient. And they are thorough—basically replacing an entire HVAC system, soup to nuts, that should have been replaced a decade ago. David, Matthew, and Roy, we ❤️ ya!
I had Jesse Crawford as a technician for Stan's Heating, Air, Plumbing & Electrical. Very congenial guy, great interpersonal skills, good manners (mom deserves the credit), and great customer service. And as far as I can see, an excellent technician. He traced my A/C problem down to the main issue, following one clue after another until he had the whole picture and a full solution. I hated paying him, it costs a lot, but there is a 90-day guarantee on his work and I learned it's best to have the service contract so that, for a reasonable price, they can keep my A/C primed and tuned and hopefully avoid a shut-down in hot weather. I had to wait 3 days without air conditioning to get service, so that's a negative, but I'm so relieved to be sitting in a cool house that I won't even take off points for the delay. I was lucky enough to be able to buy a portable A/C for the duration, but I think Stan's should ask the person's age during the service call, as I am approaching 80 and if I could not afford to buy a portable AC, and did not have children to help me, I might have expired in the awful heat. I was placed in line at the sequenced point of my call, but think more info should be taken to determine if the caller is in peril. Some elderly people cannot withstand 3 days of high heat. Or, alternatively, Stan's might provide a tel no. for help when the elderly are left without A/C. However, I leave with a positive review of Stan's service call. Joan G, Austin
I called one evening-after business hours (a severe leak in the upstairs unit threatened our ceiling and the wood floor.) Stan’s representative was so kind and understanding. She said she’d try to squeeze me in the next day. She did and by 10;15 am, the work was completed by a pleasant and professional serviceman. With the heat we are experiencing, I know they were very busy and I appreciated the care and fast response. Stan’s did a great job installing two new units 3 years ago. They clearly take care if their customers. I heartily recommend them.
Only had to wait 2 days to get someone out to create an estimate for a system replacement. Mike was prompt, quick, professional and gave us a bid within a few minutes. Everything he told us checked out. No B.S. The installers were early, something that rarely happens these days. They were quick, professional and replaced the entire system within 4 hours. The work they did was unbelievably perfect in my opinion. No short cuts. Actually felt that they went the extra mile to do it right. The unit we landed on was the dual speed Carrier model and so far, we love it. It's ultra quiet and maintains a constant temp. Plus, I've been able to kick it up to 78 during the day and feel perfectly comfortable. Before, I had to keep it at 75-76. Doesn't sound like a huge difference, but I know my electric bill will tell the tale. In the end, our experience with Stan's was first-rate. I would highly recommend them to family and friends without hesitation.
Abraham Ramos did an excellent job for us. Our upstairs AC unit wasn’t properly cooling and he was able to check everything and determine what the issue was. Mr. Ramos was polite, professional, and thorough. I’m very happy with Stan’s and happily recommend them to anyone having issues with their AC in this summer heat. Thank you, Abraham!

I work during the day and gave them a timeframe to show. They were able to commit to that time. Prior to arrival, I received a call from my technician Andrew. He called one hour in advance to let me know that he may run a little late and just wanted to check if that was still okay with me. When I have reached out to other places previously for home mechanical or plumbing services, I rarely ever got a call and never got a call this much in advance which was great so I could plan my around my job. Andrew showed up, did his diagnosis on potential issues and was able to resolve my problems. The city recently changed out water meters that affected pressure in my home and Andrew did a great job explaining everything to me. The issues that concerned me are now taken care of. I would highly recommend Stan’s and highly recommend Andrew. Will definitely reach out to them again with my future plumbing needs.
