My heat was out. I have been dealing with another company, but they let me down (several times). I called Kathy, who was able to book a same-day appointment. Billy came out, right when they said he’d be there. He had the problem diagnosed and corrected in a matter of minutes. The price was more than fair. Who can argue with service like that? I’ve signed up for a service contract, and look forward to a long relationship with this company. Thank you Hammack!
Ryan showed up early, which is extremely rare, impressive and greatly appreciated. He quickly diagnosed, fixed my problem immediately and charged an incredibly reasonable price. I am rarely impressed but this guy was truly incredible in his technical expertise, customer service and professionalism. Give this guy a raise! You have to hold on to incredible employees like Ryan, they are so hard to come by these days.
Had my Aircon serviced as part of their program. This company has been servicing my house since it was built in 1981 and they always addressed my issues. The hvac/aircon service professional Nate was professional and very courteous and he educated us how to install the air filter correctly. Will definitely be utilizing their service for a long time.
I was referred to Hammack last month when my ac was on the fritz. I called first thing in the morning, and were out by 8:30 that day. They took their time looking over the unit trying to find the issue, and got us up and cool just in time for the 100 degree days.
Fast forward to this past week, when I noticed that my ac was just not as efficient as it should be. I called them out today to see why, and the problem was found. Because they weren't sure whether the problem existed before or was a result of their visit last month, I was not charged for the fix. I appreciate their honesty and trying to make things right for their customers.
Hammack Air Conditioning is honest, ethical, and top notch! My AC/heat pump went out in August. I had 5 different AC guys come in to troubleshoot the problem, and every single one of them said the entire system needed to be replaced. All 5 said part of the problem was that my compressor was too large; 3 said it was a 5-ton unit and 2 said it was a 4-ton unit. One of the guys also said it was rated at just 7 SEERS. I found the model number on the compressor and looked it up on the internet and discovered it was a 3-ton, 13 SEER unit, and realizing the previous guys were either incompetent or had lied to me, I called Hammack. Billy came in and inspected the components, including going up into the attic, and then asked, "So why do you think you need an entire new unit?" I told him I'd been told it was the only solution. He looked at me and said, “Let me ask you something. Did this unit go out right after the guy started working on your ceiling?” I'm having a tongue-in-groove plank ceiling installed, which was going on when the other guys showed up too. I said coincidentally, it did. He said, “Well, I think what happened is they pierced a line with a nail gun, and that’s where all your Freon went. The only solution is to go in and find where the line is pierced, and that will have to be fixed, but if that's not done, no matter if you got a new system, you'd be in the same position all over again." So my ceiling guy removed boards and made a few holes in the sheetrock and Billy found the leak. He repaired it, and added Freon to my old system, and got that up and running just fine. He literally saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. I'll be using Hammack and recommending to everyone from now on.
Very honest service company. I had them come out 2 times for a problem with my unit. They tried 2 different solutions but the problem still existed. Asked for a refund and they agreed without any big discussion. Very good business practices. I called them because I got 2 references from others in the area. Ended up replacing the unit.
I bet there service is fine, but one of their drivers ran a red light at Coit and Campbell and caused a wreck between 2 other cars. The Hammock guy just drove off. Wouldn't recommend to anyone because I don't want a person getting killed while they drive to fix my ac.
Very good, high experienced and personal service. No sales pressure (as opposed to pressure from 2 of the big name advertisers.) Highly recommend - they replaced one of my 19 yr old AC/H units.
STAY AWAY. IF YIUR FURNACE GOES OUT ON THE WEEKEND, YOU ARE SCREWED. My daughter's furnace went out on Friday. A technician named Al came out and said the warehouse was closed. So my grandchildren had to go all weekend with NO HEAT. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS FREEZING.
