Amazing Comfort, and Alex just saved me 3k!!! Although I found them through my home warranty company, I will continue to request them moving forward. Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE HONEST!!!
Back story is that we had a different vendor out to fix our heat ( through our home warranty company) and they were trying to replace the entire air handler when it was a much simpler fix, the heat sequencer. I asked for a second opinion and Amazing Comfort came and fixed it in under an hour for $75, the cost of our deductible.
Can’t thank them enough for their honesty, reliability, and dependable work!!!

The technicians from Amazing Comfort are very professional and knowledgeable. We are very happy with the service. It did take awhile for our part to come in, so the service was not as timely as we would’ve liked. Over all, I do recommend them and would use them again.

Amazing Comfort was assigned to do my A/C tune-up via my home warranty. During the tune-up they discovered that unit was out of refrigerant. I opened a new service ticket through my home warranty to diagnose the cause of the depleted refrigerant AND to diagnose the issues I was having with my ducts/ductwork. Two separate jobs on the same warranty service ticket.
At the end of April, two technicians arrived to begin their diagnosis. They discovered a broken valve was the cause of the leaked refrigerant and that some of the ductwork under my house had been damaged. It was explained to me what the issue was, where the damage was located, and what needed to be done to fix it. They explained they were sending the information to my home warranty and to be on the lookout for the quotes.
A week or so later, early May, my home warranty covered the repair of the valve and the cost of the refrigerant. However they declined to cover the work on the duct because the damage was listed as “misused/abused”. I have only owned my house for 8 months or so and I’m assuming it was damaged by the prior tenants. As are most things I’m discovering, but I digress.
I reached out to Amazing Comfort and explained that my warranty denied the duct work and I was willing to pay out of pocket if they could send me a quote for the work. I was told they would get it together and email it to me. This was mid-May. They did come and repair the valve and refilled the refrigerant. So far no issues there. Hence 2 stars instead of one.
Now, it is July and the duct work needs to be repaired as my A/C is not efficiently cooling my house. I reached back out to Amazing Comfort last week and again asked for a quote of the work for the duct replacement. I was again told that I would have it emailed to me. I reached out again today because I had not received it and was told I’d have to pay a $99 diagnosis fee so they could redo work they already did 2 months ago!
I got several different reasons why:
1. The required information wasn’t collected the first time.
Why wasn’t the required information collected correctly the first time and why do I have to pay for them to redo the job they didn’t do correctly?
2. It was outside the 30 day time frame so the diagnosis was no longer valid.
I originally asked for the quote BEFORE they even came to fix the valve and I never received it. Again, I’m being asked to pay a fee because of information they did not provide to me within their own 30 day time frame.
3. The original diagnosis through warranty was no longer valid if the work was contracted directly.
Does this mean that work done via home warranty is substandard and is not the same quality as direct contract work? If it’s the same quality and same standards then why is the original diagnosis no longer valid and a redo of the work necessary?
4. Because warranty declined to cover the ductwork, the diagnosis was no longer valid.
How is a diagnosis’ validity determined by who is paying?? The findings and work requirements shouldn’t suddenly change based on who’s footing the bill. If I break my arm, the diagnosis isn’t going to change depending on whether my insurance covers the bill or not.
I had absolutely no issue paying the (most likely) $1000+ out of my pocket for the work that needed to be done, but I refuse to pay $99 to repeat the same diagnostic work, especially when no one can give me a valid reason as to why it’s needed. The diagnosis was already done. I’m not paying for it again.
I took my money to another company who’s doing the estimate for free.

Amazing Comfort was highly recommended by a trusted friend who has worked on their HVAC in the past. Their service lives up to the recommendation better than I had hoped. Awesome experience from the very first phone call! After calling several businesses who were not available to help us in our emergency situation, my 4th call to Amazing Comfort was a blessing! They were professional and responsive to our situation right away! Amazing Comfort not only does excellent work, but the Tech took the time to help us understand his reasoning & process behind repairs. Solid, trustworthy, & professional!

If AHS assigns you this company, ask for a reassignment. Let me say that the gentleman that came out was VERY nice so hence 2 stars vs 1 but they are a total rip off. They charge $190 per lb of 410! Yes, $190 to AHS customers with AHS covering $10. I had already had a thorough diagnosis with UV light and sniffer and found the leak but they didn't find it in the 15-20 minutes they were here with the "spray." They wanted to drain my entire system and do a pressurized leak test (keeping in mind I already paid for this with my routine servicer) and charge me...wait for it...$2200!!!!!!! That was in refrigerant and some lock valve.
Thankfully I got a 2nd opinion with Star Mechanical and I am so happy I did. They found TWO major leaks, one in the evaporator coil (that was found previously) and one in the outside unit's Schrader valve. Got both covered. $600 in refrigerant, maybe and that's if they havr to drain it! They are $60/lb for 410-- $130 LESS a lb. He spent 2 hours here detecting the leaks.
Then Amazing Comfort said on the phone that they would have to "repair my evaporator coil" if there was a leak. It's aluminum. You can't repair an aluminum coil. I don't think they are knowledgeable. They also sent me an email trying to sell me a new system rather than fixing mine!

Amazing Comfort was selected by my home warranty service for heating tune--up maintenance service. I was very pleased with them. The technician arrived on time, performed the service and informed me of the findings. The technician was courteous and professional.

Amazing Comfort was assigned to us through our home warranty company. They responded quickly and took care of the issue. It was a good experience and we were pleased with the result.

We were assigned Amazing Comfort by our home warranty company to come fix our Furnace which had stopped working.
6 Weeks and 5 visits later, during the coldest part of the 2022 holiday season, they failed to fix the furnace or diagnose the correct problem.
Ultimately they gave up trying to fix the problem. And what I was told by the home warranty company they reported it was fixable but essentially they didn't know how to. (wait what?).. So we were assigned a new company.
The new company came out, correctly diagnosed the issue the same day - they actually stayed and troubleshot for a couple of hours rather then the ~20 minutes Amazing comfort spent each time, and then fixed it within a week - only delay was ordering the parts and they were out the day after the parts came in.
I will never use this company again - and I would encourage anyone that has them assigned by a warranty company to refuse and demand an alternative.

"DO NOT" I mean "DO NOT" use American Home Shield and Amazing Comfort Heating and Cooling. They are the worse and AS a REALTOR I will NEVER refer AMERICAN HOME SHIELD to any of my clients, family, or friends again! They sent Amazing Comfort out 3 times to work on my HVAC and now that they "finally" realize (or quote un quote diagnosed) that I need a new compressor. They have denied the claim and state it is due to a preexisting issue! EXCUSE me?????? These issues started in April of 2022. You have been called to my home 3 times since then. Where is WAVY TV 10 when you need them? What's the point of having a HOME WARRANTY if when something like this goes wrong you are going to deny the claim! This is horrible and definitely terrible for business! JUST HORRIBLE!
