High Tech Heating & AC Inc

Noticed 8 year old AC unit was running longer than it should. Called High Tech. Guy came out. Low refrigerant, either a leak or an obstruction (which didn't make much sense to me). Will cost $1000.00 to find the leak. New unit might be the way to go according to repair man. Just didn't seem right to me---heavy on the sale pitch of new unit, which also included a salesman contacting me a few days later to pitch the same option. Called different repair man. He came out. Yep, probably a leak. But, for $80.00 we can try a sealant that goes into the freon and 90% of the time its a successful, long term fix. Said they've been using these sealants for 5 years now. High Tech NEVER, EVER, EVER mentioned this as an option for the repair. EVER. So, do you think they don't know about this option, or they just wanted to sell me a new unit for $$$$$$$. You make the call---just to someone other than High Tech Heating.

They took care of the problem very quickly and fully explained what was wrong.
