**READ** before you go with Action! Action came over and installed a new furnace, they installed it improperly and it was leaking condensation into the new furnace and out the back of the furnace. They came out to fix the problem, and drilled into my A coil! Andy told me they were going to replace the A coil and AC unit outside due to it being the same cost because of the R22 and how expensive it is. So from Actuon improperly installing the furnace, The water went under the wall and into my finished basement, it wrecked and stained my carpet! The inspector Josh even said it was due to the furnace being installed wrong and took pictures and sent it over to Action. The inspector sent over photos and Action said they will send over (white glove) someone who will clean the carpet or will replace the carpet if it can’t be cleaned. White glove recommend the carpet be replaced due to the big stains from the water from the furnace and mold under the carpet from where the condensation from the furnace sat. Action now Denys that the carpet is wrecked from them, and will not replace it. Tanya the VP and Andy their inspection manager keeps ignoring my calls and will not get back to me. Action is very unprofessional and customer service is really bad! Do not go with Action for your heating and cooling problems! In the photos you will see the wrecked carpet and the water stain going under the wall under the carpet from the furnace!
Thank you so much for coming today and installing my new furnace and ductwork and new thermostat! You guys were so amazing with restoring the heat back to my house! I love my new furnace I love my house that is warm again so thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming out today and replacing everything! Anyone that is looking for great service, friendly repair men who explain the ins and outs of your new new equipment and quality products I highly recommend using action Heating and cooling!
Had 2 tune-ups & some minor fixes (replaced humidifier controller, fan & radiator valve) of our home forced air furnace & rental property boiler this morning by Action Heating & Cooling. We appreciated Mike's availability with a few days notice to look at both the furnace & boiler this morning, as we specifically requested a steam boiler expert for our needs due to issues with generalists who aren't as familiar with single-pipe steam boilers. Talked with Tanya a few days ago to schedule it, and was told the $75 hourly rate for boiler work & tune-ups & the flat $129 fee for forced-air furnace tune-ups. Was charged both a flat $150 boiler tune-up fee & new $99 hourly rate (1 hour today) for the boiler tune-up that took 20 minutes & wasn't complete compared to the last tune-up with Action (just cleaned burners & raised pressuretroll this time-not recommended to increase pressure in our setup), didn't clean low-water cut-off probe or water sight glass. Verified that experts recommended against adding more water than needed, so didn't take his advice to flood the boiler with a 2 minute vs. 10 minute current low-water cut-off water refill delay due to system condensate water returning in about 5 minutes anyway. The white plastic drain-box was left off the furnace after the tune-up and we noticed about a gallon of water around it later that evening. Called the after hours number for service and didn't have a good experience with the operator-she didn't provide her name & told us we'd be billed for the trip to fix the leaking furnace. So much for the 30 day labor warranty guarantee we see on our invoice from a few hours earlier! We observed some contradictions in the advice we were given about steam boilers as well-we recommend finding another company or doing as much as possible yourself since steam boilers are a lost art these days and modern forced air furnaces can be problematic (if not put back properly) as today's drain leak shows. Update later tonight: Matt called back & stopped over to verify the leaking water was due to the drain not being clamped-we had put it back ourselves while waiting for him to arrive an hour or two so after calling. He was friendly, but also forgot something-flipping the power switch to the furnace back on when he left. We appreciated he remembered and called us about it later that evening.
This company was hired by another company to install a vent and it turned in to a nightmare. It was not installed properly and I stressed my concerns to the company and no action was taken. As of today, I have moisture in my attic and by the summer I bet it turns into mold. Then I got a pvc pipe ran through my chimney and also was not installed correctly and now it is possibly the cause of water entering my home. Did I mention that the pvc pipe was not supposed to be ran through the chimney in the first place. Do not do business with these people
This was an emergency repair on New Year's morning, my furnace went out late Saturday New Year's Eve night and we woke up to a pretty chilly house, so after calling 211 then Energy assistance I was contacted by Mr. Alexis Liamas and he came right away and fixed the problem very quicky and made sure there wouldn't be any other issues he checked and cleaned some sensor that could've caused a problem later, so I really appreciate the thorough job and concern I was shown. Thank You for your service And Happy New Year. Ms. Margaret Davis
Adam and Nick were very professional and knowledgeable of replacing our boiler heating system. Adam explained step by step the process of the installation and what we could expect for the 1 1/2 days that they would be in our home. Day of completion Adam and Nick cleaned up behind themselves and broiler installation was done perfectly. We are happy to have had service done by Action Heating and Cooling! We will continue to give our business to them for maintenance of our boiler. We will be referring family and friends. Thanks Adam, Nick and Action Heating & Cooling Staff!
They work on all my investment and personal properties and I only use Action now. I love the quick response and feel like it's a great value in a service field where there are a bunch of "cowboys" Action Heating and Cooling is the preferred, professional choice.
Had service completed last month for my boiler. Of course it wasn’t cold enough to turn on heat, but now that it’s needed it keeps flipping into an error code and having to be reset daily. I called and spoke to one lady who said a tune up was 150, but when I mentioned that it had just been serviced they said there would still be a tech service charge of 89.95, then 75 every hour. I asked do you all not guarantee your work. I was put on hold for her to find out if they guarantee their work. She comes back and says she can send a tech out, but if the issues is not due to the recent service then I would have to pay the fees. Now how would I know whether or not they would tell me the truth if it was their mess up? Also, they tried to tell me there was no record of service last month but only the previous year! So add poor record keeping on top of it. No thanks!
Joe was very responsive and was able to get us on their schedule really fast; the crew who installed the ac was nice, efficient, and did a great job cleaning up. We were really happy with the service and the price. I definitely recommend them! Addition: Justin came out to do a maintenance check on our furnace and was excellent- friendly, professional, and clearly explained the work he'd done. He also gave me a call as he was on his way over, which I appreciated it. I've had all good experiences with Action!
