I had a brand new water heater installed by Gene and team on 6/21/23. Top notch experience, no complaints. They came to take a look when the water heater failed and gave me the options to replace it or repair it to last a little longer. I chose to replace it with the nicer coil heater that connects to the boiler.
Unfortunately, the job proved complicated. They had to contend with figuring out how the last guys configured it, taking the boiler out to get both it and water heater to fit, and suffering a hand injury and needing to call in someone else to help. But they stuck with it all day and the new set up looks great. I really appreciate their work, and the warm shower I was able to take. I will be using Mountain Mechanical in the future.
Kitchen faucet was leaking intermittently. I had a new faucet that needed installed. Keegan was prompt, courteous and left no mess when he was finished. Best of all, no leaks.
Great service. Very professional, Russell came in,and went right to work. Very knowledgeable, and nice, answered all my questions. You have a great employee in Russell. Thanks again for all your help. Great customer service. Would use them again. Mary Barich
Matt installed a new furnace and fixed the ductwork for the adjacent hot water heater. They were fast, efficient and clean. Removed all the old parts, left us with a case of new filters and explained the new system. Highly recommend them.
After calling them last winter for a furnace that stopped working they did show up a lot quicker than expected, which was greatly appreciated. Had to call them for an issue recently, furnace still under warranty, and they did honor itš. They have been professional and friendly.
I have called Mountain Mechanical for plumbing needs for years and also routine furnace inspections. My favorite fix involved a screaming toilet. The furnace started showing its age and recently ended up needing to be replaced and of course in the middle of winter. Mountain Mechanical had the unit in stock and had the install complete the day after I confirmed the order. In addition to the technical expertise, the service team is really careful about their work so there is never a mess, or in the case of the furnace install, the garage floor was cleaner when they left. I've also noticed they track past work and can quickly reference a repair or part so I don't have to dig through paperwork or emails. This was helpful with the furnace situation. The office staff, after hours on call representatives, and service team are all great to work with and are extremely responsive.
We had an after hours emergency involving a burst pipe in our heating system at a time when below zero temps for over a week meant that everyone in town was swamped. Curtis got to us fast, resolved the issue quickly, and even left a space heater with us overnight. We'll definitely be going back to mountain mechanical for any future needs!
This is one of the worst plumbing and heating companies in Alaska. They āsold usā on a Wells McLean āUltraā boiler system which completely failed after a few years of use. We had a few leaks and other problems after installation too. The quality of work was not good. When we called to complain we didnāt get much help. The technician turned out to be a relative of the owner? and at that point realized what a mistake it was to use them. We definitely donāt recommend using this company. Extreme Heating & Air are a much better choice.
Do not hire this company. I hired this company this past month when my 10 year old water heater broke and needed to be replaced. Instead of replacing the visibly rusty water heater, they replaced the coupler. I called to complain after my credit card was charged the next day for work I did not authorize. I was ignored and blown off by the office staff saying it was a miscommunication.
3 days later my hot water heater broke again, this time it flooded my house. I called Mountain Mechanical before regular hours explaining my situation with their after hours staff with a message for them to call me when they opened. I never received a call. I called them again the next day and asked to speak with the manager/owner about the situation of my hot water heater flooding my house after their work. I was told the manager was on a job and would call me back. No call!
This company is responsible for a flood that cost ~$8000 worth of damage to my house. First, they did not replace the water heater that needed to be replaced. Second, they did work on my hot water heater that was not authorized. Third, whatever work they did, my hot water heater seems to be what caused the hot water heater to start leaking. Fourth, they are doing nothing to make good on their mistake.
Terrible service, work quality and questionable ethics.
Called yesterday at 8am for our water heater that was leaking and starting to flood our basement. Called again around noon and was told there were two customers ahead of us. Called at 4ish and got the after hour person. Was called later by the tech and he said it would be after 8pm and the cost would be 300 an hour. I told him I would wait until today.
Called first thing this morning and I was told I was a priority but they didn't know what time they would be there. Wife just called and was told there was 3 people ahead of us due to no heat. I understand heat is important during winter. Why not call the customer and say hey this is what is going on. Why is the customer with no hot water the one that has to pay the 210 or 300 an hour to get stuff fixed.
