However, I don't know the gentleman who serviced my HVAC but was very thorough.
Shawn was very thorough in his work and was very professional. He spent time with me explaining the root cause and even used color coded drawings to help me understand. He had to return because he didn't have the part, and still came by late after a long day of emergencies to get the job done on the day he committed to. Thanks Shawn! Best to you.
A year later, I have to say I LOVE this place. Unprecedented customer service. Thanks to your Tanya for helping with my thermostat over the phone on a Saturday and assuring that we were comfortable.
I am currently disputing the cost of an AC unit installed on my rental property in Tucson. The price was exorbitantly high - $10,500 - for an AC unit on a townhouse. I asked for an itemized parts and labor breakdown from Jeremy, the service manager and have not received one. The general manager is out of town, and I hope that my concerns can be resolved when he returns in a week. Feeling scammed.
Update 1/3/22 - The AC unit installed by Breezeways has caused our ceiling to leak under the unit every time it rains. They have sent a series of technicians who do attempt fixes with caulk which has never worked. It appears to have been installed incorrectly. Please stay away from this company. The owner has never contacted us and we have major ceiling damage.
Ron was first rate in servicing our units during a period of Covid-19 social distancing. He was well protected as was I and we managed to keep our 2 meters in check. The service was quick, the review clearly presented, with no sales pressure. I've always been pleased with Breezeways.
Fantastic and timely service! Our AC went out late one evening. I called Breezeways at 6am and was greeted by a woman on the phone who took my contact info, a description of the problem, and told me the on-call technician would be in touch soon. The technician literally called me minutes later and then arrived at my home by 7am! Junior was not only extremely personable and kind and tolerant to my 2 dogs, but he found and resolved the problem in under an hour. It was a connector gone bad. Junior offered me the website coupons for discounts on service and for being a new customer, AND waived the visit fee for signing up for one of the company maintenance agreement. I did not feel that he was trying to up-sell me. This was an offer, just like any company who is trying to create and maintain business. He offered it with options, and excellent customer service - it was a no-brainer. AC is too important in AZ to NOT have a maintenance plan! Thanks so much Junior, and the team at Breezeways - this is how service SHOULD be done.
These guys are awesome. About a year ago, I called them up for some issues, and they set me up on an Energy savings agreement. A low monthly payment that guarantees 2 services a year to keep it running smooth and waive diagnostic fees for 3 years, in case anything went wrong. I strongly recommend these guys as they are honest and on time. I never had to wait past their ETA. Thank you Breezeways :)
Worst experience I've ever had. Experience started out great. On initial call they sent someone out immediately. The tech told us we needed a new unit. Since install of the unit it's been an absolute nightmare. We are going on 3 weeks since they installed the new unit and it's never worked correctly. They've damaged the drywall in ceiling coming through the attic with one workers boot. Damaged attic entry, damaged laundry shelving unit, damaged drywall in the laundry room, left a mess in the attic (empty water bottles, spilt pvc glue, screws, cut pieces of metal) and did a poor job putting the garage entry door back on. All issues I have taken pictures of and have documented on a list. They've reused parts and equipment during install of new unit, used my personal tools (including shop vac, extension cords, floor jack, hammer, pry bar and cordless drill), said they would over night a part over a week ago that still hasn't come in yet all while the "Brand New" unit runs around the clock and never gets to the set temperature on the thermostat. My wife, myself and 3 children have been hot constantly in our house and have had to run occilating fans in every room to sleep half way decent over the last 3 weeks. I've also have tried to call the manager/owner and haven't been called back. Only positive I could say about this company is that the tech Ray has tried his hardest when he's here to fix the previous mistakes done by the original installers. It just seems as though he's over worked and tired when he is here and seems to be pulled in too many directions. I hope to have these issues resolved soon and feel that this should not be an issue with a brand new unit that we will be spending so much money on.
Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Tonya W/ Breezeways Air Conditioning. I was in tears when we finished our call Monday morning. My AC went out Saturday and my 73 year old Uncle, with stage 4 terminal cancer is in my 90 plus degree house; I've been worried sick. Tonya had a technician at my house within a few hours, to help get our AC issues resolved within 24 hours. She didn't stop there! While on the phone, Tonya even offered to help my daughters AC issue, checked her warranty and is got help to her and her newborn as well. This company just earned a customer and referral source for life!! Great service and genuine care for our situation. Thank you, Ray, Ron and Tonya!
Beware of Deceitful and Unethical Business Practices Last July, my AC suddenly started behaving badly – with intermittent failures. I noticed it on a Thursday, I called Breezeways on Friday morning, and they sent a technician out on Friday evening. When the technician arrived, he was unable to determine the exact source of the failure. He acknowledged that he was a new employee to this company and new to the HVAC industry, which is why he called his manager. After calling his manager, he recommended that he clean the condenser coil. He said this would typically be an expensive cleaning, but they'd make me a deal: $250 for the condenser cleaning, if I purchased a 3 year service warranty for $600, for a total charge of $850. He said the cleaning was 95% likely to solve my AC failure. I agreed to this and the technician cleaned the condenser coils and then departed. NOTE that they did not provide any documentation and I did not sign any invoice or receipt for service. Day 2 - the AC unit again failed and I called Breezeways. This time they sent their supervisor out, and he was also unable to determine the root cause of the problem. When he was at my house, the AC unit was working, and he could not find root cause of the problem. He departed. Day 3 – the AC unit again failed, I called Breezeways and they sent the supervisor back out again. This time he took more measurements, and determined that the interior windings were failing. He said because the AC unit had exceeded its life expectancy (it was 16 years old), I would need to replace the entire unit. I expressed my frustration that I had paid for a cleaning and warranty on a unit that was 16 years old. The supervisor apologized for the previous technician and again indicated that particular technician was new to the company and to the HVAC industry, and he “probably shouldn’t have sold me an unnecessary cleaning.” He said that if I purchased a new AC unit from Breezeways, they would give me a 100% credit for my previous $850 payment. I then got a second and third opinion about the AC failure (which was confirmed), and I solicited five estimates for a new AC unit. The Breezeways estimates for a new AC unit were $3000+ higher than any other company for the same size and quality. I then purchased a new AC unit with another local company. I then contacted Breezeways for documentation regarding the 3 year service warranty I had purchased. Their office manager sent me a receipt that indicated I had paid $725 for a condenser cleaning, along with a $125 service visit. This was absolutely incorrect, and I immediately called to clarify the situation, explaining that I had purchased a 3 year warranty, along with the coil cleaning. I naively assumed this was an honest mistake and I asked her to speak with the original technician to clarify what has been verbally sold to me. I also pointed out that the receipt she sent me was signed with the initials “SD” – but my initials are “NM.” She said she would research this and she would call me back. She never called me back. I then called the supervisor to explain the situation and after discussing this with him, he said he'd support a 50% refund of my $850 payment. He believed this was a reasonable resolution and the office manager would need to process the refund. I called the office manager again. She said she’d have to speak with the owner because only he could process the refund for me. However I never heard back from her. I called the office manager probably 2 dozen times over 2 months and she never returned my calls and never processed the refund. After 3 months of unsuccessful communication with Breezeways, I reached out to the Better Business Bureau, but they were unable to intervene and the dispute remains unresolved through them.I will now be pursuing a dispute with Breezeways in small claims court. I have never written a negative online review before, but I truly believe this company has demonstrated deceitful and unethical business practices and I would strongly urge you to seek out service from ANY other AC company.
Shawn was amazing! He provided excellent service and was totally honest. He answered all our questions, sent us pictures, and did a great job! He is very knowledgeable and super friendly. I've been using Breezeways for over 5 years now and he is by far the best technician I have come across. Hope to see more of him in the future. Thank you so very much! Highly recommend this company!
They have maintained our A/C and heating for many years and replaced the units when they were no longer functional. The equipment they recommended and installed were great. They are efficient and are amazing for the price of the replacement. Their technicians are helpful, pleasant and know what they are doing. Thank you Breezeways.
