My first ever review. We have a 27 year old system that was put in when we bought our house. Never worked right!!! We've had 10+ contractors out over the years to look at it who have either tried to sell us a new system or told us that everything was fine (running a/c all day to get 80 degrees is NOT fine).

We were referred to Hector at Essentra by our friend's contractor, and we are so pleased. Lucky enough to have him come out before the recent heat waves. Hector looked at our setup and pointed out several issues as well as steps to fix/improve performance. No high pressure to just replace 27 year old system...just thoroughly explained and quoted repairs. First repair before first heatwave...and what a difference it made. Second repair before this last heat weave, even better....and each day we are so thankful!!!!

Super recommended! Hector was referred to me by real estate agents. Essentra installed the A/C and replaced the heater at my house. They did a great job, really fast and very clean. They even installed the Nest and fixed some old electrical wiring. Communication was great, they were very responsive and very clear on which were the next steps. Hector, the owner and president of Essentra is the absolute best HVAC contractor that I have ever worked with. A 10+ rating.
My HVAC system of 30 years stopped working with the A/C compressor gone. I needed a new system. I contacted three HVAC companies. One, the large company who had installed and maintained the current system of 30 years. The second, another large local company and the third, Hector of Essentra.
Being a retired local, major roofing contractor of 40 years, I have had much experience with all types of contractors and their evaluations, help and proposals. Hector, of Essentra, was the one contractor who answered all my questions, addressed all of my needs, while being fairly priced. He was very professional, checked all the 16 ducts and 2 cold air returns. He recommended increasing the kitchen duct from 6” to 8”. This greatly improved the temperature of the kitchen. Additionally, he recommended adding filters at the entrances to the two 20”X14” cold air returns and eliminate the filter above the furnace. This will help keep the cold air return ducts cleaner.
Being 70+ years old and retired, I have concern for COVID 19. I asked if he could do it in one day and I would provide one of the bathrooms and a cooler of cold water. Hector, and his 3 person crew, arrived on time at 7:30. They wore masks and gloves at all times, and shoe coverings when in the house.
Their execution was as perfect and professional as could be. They repaired any and cleaned all ducts, installed improvements, installed the complete system, and completely cleaned up by 4:45. The system is perfectly and elegantly installed, and work great!—very professional. Hector and crew’s over and beyond professionalism was a great experience. Superb work, fair prices and great service. I highly recommend Essentra to everyone.

The Essentra team did an excellent job replacing our very old furnace with a new Trane AC+Furnace system for our home, and taking care of the permits required! Hector (the owner) was very helpful and patient in answering all of our questions throughout the process. He helped us compare various AC+Furnace combinations to effectively cool and heat our home that worked in our budget. I appreciated that he was upfront with the costs and timelines. Hector's team completed the project in one day as promised and the city permits were passed smoothly. I was really impressed by the Essentra team's care and tidiness during the installation. When they were complete with the install, they vacuumed and cleaned up the areas they worked as if they were never there- the garage where the furnace was installed and the areas around the the crawl space and thermostat access areas were cleaned up. If I ever need to install an HVAC system again, I'll definitely ask Essentra first and will be referring them to my friends.

Hector and his crew are top notch! After getting a recommendation from a good friend I can trust, I gave them a call when our air conditioner went down. They were very busy at the time I reached out but got here within a few days, and the repair was done that day. Hector said because I was a new customer he would even give me a deal to start our relationship off on the right foot. Totally unexpected. A few weeks later I needed a new A/C unit and furnace installed into a rental ASAP so I could get it rented once again. Again Hector and his crew fit me in a very short timeline and got the job done. Wether your after a trustworthy company to repair your HVAC or someone to install a whole new set up, these are the guys I trust to do the work.

My heater went out in the middle of winter, as they tend to do. Ann at Essentra fit me in even though they were booked solid (I called 3 other places who were also booked solid but did not even try to make it work). Then the team did a great job with a tricky installation on an old house until the job was done right and passed inspection. Great experience, would definitely recommend Ann, Hector, and Essentra.
