My father had a new unit installed for under $7000.00, they failed to install an new air filter, they chose to demo the old unit on top of the existing air filter which became contaminated from the demolition of the old unit. As they completed their work they Chose to install the old contaminant air filter into the new unit. After 10 months when I returned to Florida to check the work, I found the old filter that I dated was reinstalled into the new unit. Marion county did an final inspection and also failed to find the contaminated old air filter. My parents are elderly and they breathed contaminated air for 10 months, plus the strain on the new system
