Jason was very pleasant and helpful with all of my questions. He took the extra time to explain how to use my new thermostat. Always had a smile and did not hesitate to take the extra step to make sure our furnace was working properly with no issues.
We have used Gerrald's Heating and Air for many years. Have made major purchases and minor service requests---and a bunch in between. EVERY service/transaction has been very professional, quality, and great value. The core culture that Ronny instilled is very evident as the family tradition continues! I would also like to make a statement concerning Google/other reviews. Take the time to investigate negative reviewers. There is almost always a pattern of 100% negative reviews by such, which seems to me an indication of "moaners and groaners"--- some people can never be satisfied. Just sayin.
I ABSOLUTELY loved the young man that came to my house. He was very professional, made sure he cleaned up the mess he made and fixed my heat. I called because another company was supposed to come and fix my heater. I had an appointment between 12 and 3. They never showed. When I called their office I was told that he couldn't make it. I asked why no one ever called and was told "sorry". They couldn't come out the next day because they had appointments so I would have to wait 2 days! I called Gerrald's and they were out there that day!
THE ABSOLUTE WORST. We have only had a house for a little over a year and the thermostat, AC and Heater units are all from this company and literally has not been working. We called them to fix it and they "fixed" it and told us to keep our doors open. We did that and then it completely stopped working again literally 2 days in. We called them again, they "fixed it" and it stopped working within a week again. It's absurd how when we called them the 2nd and 3rd time, they still charged us $85, even though it's THEIR fault, they didn't fix it in the first place and on top of that, were trying to overcharge us for a piece (~$200) that we easily bought for $50-60! We called a different company to come fix our unit and they fixed the ac but now the thermostat made by Venstar, supplied by this so called business stopped working. We didn't have a choice on who's units we had to install in our house because the contractor of our house is cheap and chose this company that has faulty units. I have had a house before for over 10 years and the AC units there have NEVER ONCE caused issues. It's literally been 1 year and the units are breaking down. It has cost us OVER $1,400 to fix this issue and most of it was money wasted in calling geralds to come "fix" it. This business and their parts a waste of space. If you get a new house and you unfortunately have the units from this company, do yourself the biggest favor and find a whole different unit, you'll probably spend over 50K trying to make this junk work for the next 5 years.

Aaron from Gerrald's Heating and Air did a fantastic job adding a damper and additional thermostat to cool & heat my upstairs, attic conversion independently from the main house and thermostat below.. Fortunately, the extra ducting I already had installed upstairs was sufficient, and my 2 year-old house did not require a larger HVAC unit to be installed. I chose Gerald's because 1) they designed and installed the HVAC system for this house. 2) Aaron had serviced our system previously, and pointed-out some great energy saving, and maintenance tips to keep our HVAC system operating most efficiently. Thank you Aaron! Gerald's is lucky to have you, and we in the Bluffton, Hilton Head area are grateful to have your expertise.
Called the morning of our appointment telling us we had to reschedule because one person called in due to an emergency and apparently didn't have another employee that could do our semi annual service...my girlfriend took a day off of work to be home for them. We had this scheduled for 3 weeks. Won't be using this company again.
My husband called on Tuesday and tried to make an appointment, as our air was freezing up, and there seemed to be something else going wrong with it. He gave her our address, and explained they just installed this unit last year, meaning it is under warranty. The lady that answered told him they did not have any openings for Tuesday or Wednesday, which we fully expected, but that she would call if something opened up. He asked her to go ahead and schedule him an appointment for Thursday, and she said "well, we'll call you". I told my husband we weren't going to hear from them, because it's a warranty issue, and they weren't going to make any money on this call. I went ahead and scheduled with another company, who came out two hours after I called them. Sure enough, today is Sunday, five days later, and we never received a call from Gerralds. We paid the $300 to get it fixed, on Tuesday, and there is yet another issue that is going to cost us $1500, and we will pay that as well. We are firm believers that what comes around, will eventually go around.
