Lakeview Heating and Cooling

We have used this company twice and have been happy with their service. I know now to buy cheap air filters and appreciate this advice and the money savings. I also learned that they can carry AC units into and out of houses for about $400.

Tom, the owner, came the day I called and checked out two AC for $170. He clearly has a great knowledge of the systems and gave us real advice and didn't try to upsell. I was ready to buy two new AC units and now I don't have to buy any! He doesn't think our 17 year old units will have any problem making it through another summer!

Initial response from Tom was very fast. However, after I scheduled the work, he became unresponsive. Eventually no one showed up for the work and no one answers phone calls. I had another work that was dependent on his work completion unfortunately I had to end up paying a cancellation fee for that.

I scheduled a condo HVAC tune-up with Lakeview Heating & Cooling over the phone; we scheduled for a Friday afternoon with a 12pm-4pm arrival window. Friday afternoon arrives and no one ever shows up - no phone call and no answer when I call to inquire if anyone was still coming out. I've left a message twice and tried calling back several times to the several various phone numbers they have listed on their website - no answer. It's been over 72 hours since they no-showed the appointment and have been unresponsive ever since. Completely unprofessional.

I had Lakeview Heating and Cooling install a new furnace after mine died. After a few weeks I noticed that our furnace room was either very hot or very cold depending on what equipment was running. Upon inspection I noticed large gaps in the duct work between the furnace and the system above it. I contacted Lakeview heating and cooling over 25 times via phone and their website contact form. They don't answer their phones or respond to email. I even went as far as to go to their offices and nobody was there during active business hours.

This company will not honor its warranties and i would recommend that anyone who wants to do business with them think otherwise. I am actively pursuing a fraud case them with the Chicago BACP.

I reached out to Lakeview Heating and AC, they connected me with Polar Heating and AC out of Orland Park to service my boiler. They came out, found a rollout switch that had failed and they could not repair it, told me I needed to replace my boiler and gave me a quote for $4,000 and told me they could replace it next week. I called Emanuel Brothers who replaced the switch and got it running for $189 and let me know my boiler was perfectly fine. Beware of this vendor!

This is a mixed review. I made an appointment with Lakeview Heating and Cooling after not being able to schedule an appointment with my regular HVAC company for winter maintenance. The technician did a great job with the winter maintenance and putting in place a work around to make sure we had heat after a part that allows each floor to control temperatures was not functioning properly. I could not reach the company to schedule a follow up appointment to replace the faulty part. I tried calling the company and no return call. I went by the store front located near me and it is not actually a store front??? No one occupies the space which is featured on Lakeview Heating and Cooling's website. I am sharing this information as an FYI.

AC wasn’t working to its full potential and within an hour the problem was diagnosed and resolved, in an appropriate, efficient and cost effective manor. The process was explained clearly and they tested the work before leaving. Couldn’t ask for more.

This business has been amazing to work with. My condo is about 17 years old, right when things start to go awry with the HVAC systems. Over the past years, I’ve had both my furnace and my AC stop working at very unfortunate times (it can never happen on a mild weather weekend, right?), and they have been incredibly responsive, making it out the same day or next, and have rapidly identified the problem. Twice, they were able to repair within a couple hours, and the third time it was the next day due to special ordering a part. They’ve always been transparent about costs and expectations, which is greatly appreciated.

Fast, courteous and affordable. I needed Lakeview Heating to diagnose and repair my furnace when my usual company had not shown up twice for scheduled appointments. Lakeview Heating is now my go-to. Honest people!

When we needed to replace our furnace, we called around and Lakeview not only responded right away, but they had the best price AND they were available immediately.
