After a traumatic experience with Mr. Duct, Lakeview Heating & Cooling was a joy to work with. Our furnace broke the first weekend the temperature dropped this year and they were able to send someone to our home within the hour on a Saturday. They figured out the issue and were able to find the part under warranty for us and saved us hundreds of dollars. They got the part as soon as the supplier opened on Monday morning and had our heat up and running by Monday afternoon. It's been 2 weeks and we have had 0 issues since. I cannot recommend them enough - the customer service we received was amazing (they offered to lend space heaters over the weekend since the supplier was closed on weekends). and you could tell they truly cared about getting our family heat again. Will be recommending Lakeview Heating & Cooling to all of my friends.

Tom helped with my old boiler repair when it went out this winter. He was extremely professional, friendly, and communicative. He lent me space heaters while the heat was out and got me connected with another contractor for other work that needed to be done. Highly recommended!
I've been president of a 6 unit condo building for much of the past decade, and I can tell you that Lakeview Heating and Cooling (and Billy, in particular) is possibly THE finest contractor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with during this time.
Unlike some better-known competitors, Lakeview does not pay commissions to their employees, so they don't have an incentive to sell you something you don't need. I did not trust my last HVAC firm, but I feel like I can trust Lakeview COMPLETELY. They took a lot of time to explain what was going on with our 15 yr old furnace and what my options were. I felt like they explained things so clearly that I could feel good about our decision to replace rather than repair.
A few months after getting our new furnace - which by the way does a *much* better job of equalizing the temps between our garden level and 1st floor - one day our AC/furnace was not working. It turned out to be a blown fuse, and Billy was kind enough not to charge me for a visit! He also showed me how the flimsy filter I was using had bowed inward from pressure from the furnace, and how that may have tripped the fuse. Billy suggested not using pleated filters, but instead find filters that use fiberglass as they are more rigid - which should prevent this from happening again.
Also, Billy showed up on time, and called 15 minutes in advance so we could secure our very barky little dog. I also had very good phone conversations with the owner, Tom. GREAT customer service, highly competent technicians, and really good employees top to bottom.
Had a great experience with this team, and our technician, Kevin. They were quick to respond, friendly, and professional. They followed up with quotes the same day, and really knew their stuff. Would recommend and will likely work with them again in the future.
I called to ask what type of work is done during their furnace check, and the girl that picked up couldn't give me a complete answer, probably because she didn't know. She was polite, nonetheless. I went ahead and made an appointment because their price is a tad cheaper and they were able to come soon.
The guy that came to do the work wore shoes in my home. Ugh. His employer should have provided disposable shoe covers like many other businesses do. He was polite and did try to explain to me what he was doing so I appreciate that. However, when I asked about a noise furnace was making, I think he answered without really knowing what was causing it. He was in and out pretty quickly. Didn't do any vacuuming, but I don't know if I should have expected it because the phone girl didn't explain well. I know many other companies at least briefly cleans the furnace for you. Further, the invoice they later sent me said he checked the humidifier. Um, I'm pretty sure I don't have a humidifier. This makes me question whether he was thorough enough.
All in all, the employees did make an effort but I don't think the work done and knowledge/experience here is worth the price I paid. I could be wrong because I've never had my furnace checked before. I will say that I have worked with another HVAC company in the suburb that I really like. They were a lot more knowledgeable and I felt very confident they provided quality work.
