I’m March 2023 we hired Carefree Comfort to install an AC in our 100+ year old home. Not only did the job require a delicate touch given the age of the home, but it was to be completed only a few weeks after our baby was born. Carlos, Nick and the team ensured the job was completed efficient in under a week. They were meticulous in their cleaning before they left everyday. We worked together to ensure certain parts of the home would still be accessible. They were timely, courteous and communicated clearly the process of the job while managing our expectations.

I am a retired general contractor / carpenter so I have experience with using sub contractors in other trades. When I moved to this area more than ten years ago I was, as a home owner, referred to Carefree Comfort. I have used them for maintenance and repair of my systems and I am very much satisfied with their work, charges and the manner of their service people. I referred them to my son who happens to be an HVAC mechanical engineer and he seems to be satisfied as well. For me, an easy five stars.

From start to finish, Carefree was professional and knowledgeable about which furnace would be the best replacement for our home. Our old furnace gave out with no warning, which left our house cold and uncomfortable. After a call to Carefree, they promptly came to our home to assess our needs, sent over a reasonable proposal within 12 hours and installed our new furnace with the utmost professionalism. We will recommend Carefree to all of our homeowner friends here on the north shore, and will not hesitate to call them in the future with any HVAC needs. I highly recommend Carefree!

I called carefree regarding an issue I was having with attic fan. They were able to come and corrected the issue in a timely manner. While here I had asked that a regular checkup / maintenance be done on our AC system. I have recommended them to my daughter when her furnace went out in a brutal chicago winter last year she too was very happy with them

Technician did an excellent job of explaining options to address an old unit and servicing it and replacement costs and rebates that are available. I have used carefree comfort for a number of years and always get excellent service.

We called them on Friday morning due to a gas odor and our furnace not coming on- they were here within 3 hours of our call - addressed the problems and solved it! We have them coming to our home twice a year for maintenance and being a Real Estate Broker I always refer them to my clients. Sergio was professional and efficient. Most important, he took the time to explain everything about my system since I had just bought the home. I had heard great things about the company from my mom who just used them for a new furnace. I am a believer now also!

Had Carefree Comfort out for preventative maintenance on our furnace in our new home in Libertyville. They were efficient, friendly, offered suggestions on making the house more comfortable, and didn't try to sell me anything extra. I'd for sure have them come out again!

Kevin and Sergio arrived promptly at the beginning of the scheduled 2-hour period and quickly detected the problem with my HVAC blower, a defective blower relay switch, which they repaired with a new switch. They were very professional and courteous in answering all of my questions.
