I was pretty disappointed that Pat first asked me to explain what was wrong with my air conditioning. After telling him he said it was freezing up and there was nothing he could do with it being frozen. I told him it had been shut off for 24 hours. Then he said it would be a service charge if I wanted him to come. Well if I hadn't wanted my air fixed I wouldn't have called. When he arrived he then told me my unit was dirty and air couldn't get through so that would cause it to freeze up even though our old unit sat in the exact spot as this one for 20 years and never had a problem. This unit is 1 and a half years old. So he said he would then check the furnace to see if there was a problem. There he found the tvm valve was bad causing the problem and replaced it. Also said he changed the furnace filter which was1 month old on a 3 month filter which was not dirty. Once I looked up what the value was it listed every problem I had told him. I didn't like that he made it sound like first he couldn't do anything and did I still need him to finding a bad part an hour later. I let him know all the issues and I took it as he assumed frozen and let it thaw and call back. My unit is less than 2 years old and was not cheap so yes I wanted it fixed. Hopefully the problem is solved.

Matt & Cody arrived right on time and installed our new air conditioner unit. The install looks neat and well done, and they cleaned up all the debris from removing the old one. They were very considerate of our property and made sure to close the gate for our dog. I have always been impressed with Affordable Heating and Cooling, it's not hard to get an appointment, they come when they say they will and I get great work at a great price.

They installed three new furnaces and AC units for Salem United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They (Matt Parker and assoc.) did exceptional work in a very timely manner. We appreciate the service to our church.

Tried to do fraud on replacing an AC unit that had nothing wrong with it other than the fact that it is old. Always get a 2nd opinion when it is a big expense!

My old a/c was dying a slow death. I asked Affordable to quote new a/c and furnace unit and have a service tech check out my old a/c (18 years old). Affordable quoted 2 options for new units and explained the difference. The service tech thoroughly checked out the old unit and explained costs and risks of repairing the old unit. I then had all info needed to make an educated decision. I went with the new units and everything went like clockwork! Installers were terrific and fully explained the new units. I might add that within the last year I had 5 Star Plumbing install a new water heater and I purchased 6 appliances from Iowa Appliance. Those sister companies were equally great to work with!

Got a quote to replace an older furnace and a/c. Price was good, and was impressed with how quickly the appointment for replacement was made. New system was installed and work was excellent.

Had my furnace stop working. They came and fixed it. Since than it has worked fine. Pleasant staff that was easy to work with

They installed a new Lennox AC and Furnace, replaced our old one from 1987. Great customer service! We got over 6 quotes from other nearby installers and they beat everyone else's. I'll update after a month or two to let you know about our new system. ;)

Absolutely the worst business exchange! Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out. On the day they were supposed to come they called and said they could not make it but if we wanted them to come after hours we could pay extra. We agreed to pay them. At 8pm no one showed so we called and they said they could return the next business day. The following day they called and said they would not fix our air conditioner?

I called Affordable H&C due to a furnace issue. They communicated with me well regarding arrival times and gave me a call ahead of time when the technician was on the way. Nick was very nice and helpful, and even put my new Nest thermostat in last minute! Thank you!! I would definitely recommend Affordable H&C.
