All the staff is very attentive and they transmit a lot of trust, in my interview I felt a team atmosphere and respect, that says a lot about a company
Never really dealt with them. One of their guys just about ran my wife and I off the road rushing back after lunch in his flatbed, which he must have thought was his version of a tank. Gives a poor impression if the rest of the business has integrity.
I worked here for over two months. They let me go over me losing my father. I had lost my father and I missed a few days, and when i came back to work they told me they had to let me go.. smh who does that to a person who's grieving. They even knew the situation and told me to take as long as I needed. But when i came back they let me go. Never even got a write up or anything ever. On. The paper that's said the reasoning for my termination, it said "ending probationary period"... doesn't make sense because there isn't a temp service here and I was hired on. Dont work here they don't gaf about their employees.
I work at the technology building. We work mandatory overtime most of the year. Most of the time we run out of metal midway through the week or we run out of programs to run then they say we are behind and we have to work on the weekends. If you put in a job application in house for a different job they will more than likely hire people off the street before they move you to the job you put in for even if you are approved by hr for it. I like working here in the beginning but it starts to be a real headache after a short while.
This company could not possibly care any less about their workforce. I have my car in the shop for 2 days & they fired me. I had some cordless tools stolen from their jobsite & was told by Mike Schafer that they would be replaced by kcc, that was more than 3 months ago & still dont have my tools back, then 2 weeks ago I was told that they dont replace stolen tools for temps only kcc employees. They are doing work in states with men that are not licensed there & they send the 1 licensed man in Indiana bouncing from site to site to meet the inspector when they need an inspection. They only hire helpers not plumbers they use a temp service to staff their jobs & lay you off as quickly as possible. I will tell everyone I know that working for them is a really bad idea if you are a single parent. I'm not sure if having them do work for you is as bad but if they treat employees this way I imagine customers aren't treated much better. I can't say the things I want to say here but BEWARE!
I work for KCC as a Residential Service Technician, and I LOVE THIS COMPANY ! Everything about KCC is a positive to me. From the friendly office staff and the other techs I work with, to the way we're trained to always be fair, honest and informative. We don't get paid commission for selling replacement parts, so we'll never try selling a customer something that they really don't need. Maybe that's why it seems as if most customers I see have been KCC costumer years and years and years..
Very professional and explained what he was doing. Even told me some things to look for and how I could fix simple things myself. They are our go-to heating company.

Decent place to load. They usually get you in and out, however, the flatbed loads can be a little time consuming to secure and tarp.

Solid place to work and do business with. Fair management and friendly team. Great effort all around.
