Cardwell HVAC & Plumbing

Updated 5/12/22: Had a mystery plumbing leak in the ceiling of my kitchen so I called Cardwell after my excellent HVAC experience last year.
They were able to get me an appointment that afternoon with their plumber Christopher. He arrived on time and was transparent about all the troubleshooting work he had to do; he was clearly very knowledgeable. After some minor repairs we thought we had the leak repaired and a crisis averted - since it was so quick, I asked he could snake a drain line in my upstairs bathroom which he had no problem adding to the service visit. He worked to unclog it and even had to run to Home Depot for a new drain stopper before wrapping up the visit. As soon as he left I went to see how the sink was draining - unfortunately, doing this led to the downstairs leak returning! I immediately called Cardwell and left a message - they had Christopher back here within about 30 minutes to begin tackling the issue again! Long story short, we had flux decay that was eating through a drain pipe - the thorough snaking job likely exacerbated that issue and caused the leak to worsen. If we hadn't done that, we would've just masked the issue temporarily and been right back to where we started at some undisclosed later date. Christopher worked diligently to isolate the issue with minimal holes in the drywall (you've gotta cut it to see where the leak is), cut out the damaged piping, and replaced it with PVC. The work was done cleanly and thoroughly - in the event I have any future plumbing needs, I'll be calling Cardwell without question. It may be new to their business, but Christopher's experience was top notch in solving my problem for a very reasonable price.

Kyle and Jeremy were on time and very professional. They clearly worked with hustle while not cutting corners. During the final walk through I brought up that something else was on the proposal that hadn’t been addressed. Once they were aware and confirmed this they didn’t bat an eye at trying to resolve the issue. I also asked for a condensate line to be replaced and again, no issue or attitude - just top notch customer service. As long as the install holds up, I’ve found my go-to HVAC company for years to come.

Chris installed a new PVC discharge pipe which had cracked at the elbow outside. Then he changed the configuration so the line running out my yard a bit more downward slope so that it wouldn't freeze in the winter as it has in the past. He knew what he was doing - he was excellent! Very professional and friendly. I'd have him back anytime for any plumbing needs!

Legroy was a true professional. He was able to work independently while I had other contractors on-site. He was very informative. He provided the details of what needed to be fixed without using industry jargon. I wish all my contractors worked as diligently as he did. I felt he was phenomenal.

Cardwell came out the same day when we had no heat to troubleshoot the issue. Technician was extremely knowledgeable and walked through complete process to diagnose the issue. He was able to identify the issue in a short amount of time and fix the issue. Will definitely recommend and use again.

Helped me in a pinch. Came on time, very professional technician Jeffrey saved the day, took time to explain everything and made the repairs above and beyond what I had hoped for. I feel very confident in using them for all my Heat and Air conditioning needs.

Dan and his crew performed a complicated installation of a multi-component high-efficiency system in hot weather with work required in both a low attic and shallow crawl space. They did a superb job. We could not be more satisfied. Both friendly and professional, they obviously knew what they were doing. I’ve read that the quality of the installation is the most Important factor in choosing a contractor. Cardwell deserves its reputation for quality in our book.

I used them once before when I had a problem with the heat. They came, found and fixed the problem the same day.

Now I had them in to check the AC system before the summer. Also, had them review and recommend necessary heating repairs.

They are professional, knowledgeable, on-time, adhere to safety protocols and explain everything they do or recommend.

Update July 2021
Called them on a Tuesday morning, day 2 of a heat wave, with an AC problem. They came that afternoon! They fixed the issue the same day. I asked them to do the maintenance on the system while they were here. Everything was done on the one call.

At the time, I was babysitting my 11 mo old granddaughter, who was napping. The tech, Nicholas, was wonderful. He was considerate and very quiet, while working and made sure he closed the doors gently, as he went in and out.

I highly recommend the Cardwell company and their techs. I would never call anyone else.
