Justin was amazing, hands down! I initially had another HVAC company come over to diagnose a furnace leak. They were able to confirm that there was a CO leak, however, there was no obvious crack with the heat exchanger. They immediately defaulted to wanting to replace the furnace for a new one, which would have cost me over $3,300. I understand that this particular technician was very green and I do not think he ever encountered a situation like this as he was on the phone with his mentor the entire time trying to determine what to do. I felt uncomfortable with this technician’s inexperience and wanted a second opinion before spending a mini-fortune. I therefore called Justin for a second opinion. Justin immediately came over (within 1-2 hours). He was able to confirm that I had a CO leak but he was also able to confirm that all we needed to do was replace the heat exchanger, which was under warranty. He said there was no reason to replace a 6 year old furnace that was in great condition unnecessarily. His honesty saved me a lot of money and made me a loyal customer. The new heat exchanger works perfectly and my carbon monoxide levels are normal (I purchased a Fieldpiece and have been monitoring the levels for a few days to confirm).

During all of this, Justin also helped replace a water valve on my water heater. He was also very transparent and honest about pricing etc. so there were no surprises. It was also obvious that he was looking out for my best interest.

I will be using Justin moving forward and already sent his information to a few friends. I have worked with many HVAC technicians before and Justin is by far the most knowledgeable, trustworthy and professional.

Our heat stopped working during the night. I called first thing in the morning and Justin came out that day and quickly determined the issue. He was able to get the part the next day and install it. Justin and his staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

I called this morning at 10 AM with a broken heater. Justin was quick to answer my call and was fortunately scheduled to be in Cary today and was able to work us in. They called when in route to our address and arrived promptly. They were extremely courteous and polite, even when I didn't know where my furnace was located! After diagnosing the issue, they told me what part they needed to replace, and the exact cost of the repair. They then left to get the part an it was fixed in less than two hours total. After verifying the unit was functioning, Justin emailed a electronic invoice. Responsive, no contact, honest, and polite service. I would recommend affordable solutions HVAC to anyone.

I met Justin through a home warranty call expecting to buy a new furnace, Justin literally talked me out of a new unit and instead converted my older unit from LP to Natural Gas. I cannot speak highly enough about Justin and Affordable Solutions. I am skeptical of all hvac (and plumbing and most electrician) companies, so for me to say that I trust Justin is big, and I so trust him. From the first phone call, Justin was great about scheduling and helping to understand the problem. He was on time for the diagnostic visit, straight up with options and truly seemed to have my best interests in mind- he didn't try to upsell me or confuse the matter. He answered my many questions and gave me all the information that I requested about options.
He sent quotes to me quickly and clearly. He gave me all the information that I need to choose between a replacement and repair while providing guidance when I needed it. When I opted for replacement, he came back to put in refrigerant to get the system working until the scheduled replacement day. He and his crew were communicative, on time, detailed and clean. And they did a great job.

I had my old gas pack unit replaced with a new unit. Due to difficulties in these times of equipment being available, Justin kept me informed throughout and was able to get the unit I wanted quickly. He and his team call, show up and complete the work when that say they will. They are very reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

My upstairs AC went down recently, so I needed help getting it fixed.
Justin Bohannon with Affordable Solutions was fantastic. I called him on Wednesday about lunchtime, and he called me back immediately. He was at my house in less than three hours, and got my AC running in 30 minutes. Justin is competent, professional, and reasonably-priced. He is now on my speed dial for any future problems with my AC Unit.
