My first floor heating system was blowing cold air, so I called ARS, who had originally installed the unit, to come out and diagnose the problem. A tech came out, spent 5 minutes assessing the unit, and came back to tell me the heat exchanger was cracked and I needed to replace the 10 year old unit. And then he started pressuring me to get on the schedule because there was a backlog and he 'smelled natural gas". I told him that it didn't seem right that the 10 year old unit should need replacing this soon. He pushed a little more to schedule a replacement but I eventually sent him on his way.

I contacted Santa Air the next morning and they responded quickly and Tyler was there the next morning. They diagnosed a bad igniter and a dirty burner and gave me a very reasonable quote for fixing the issue. In addition, Tyler showed me how ARS had originally installed the system in an inefficient configuration that didn't make use of the high end features of the furnace. He then presented me with potential options to correct the problem. He presented them without any pressure and answered all of my questions thoroughly and professionally. I was so impressed with his demeanor and his approach that I had them update the system so that it would work at peak efficiency. They completed all of the work in about 2 hours, and the system has been running more quietly than it previously did.

I will use Santa Air again for any of my HVAC needs. I will certainly have them back to look at my upstairs furnace to see if that unit was incorrectly configured when it was installed.

I have no qualms about highly recommending these guys. They care about what they do and making the customer happy!

Highly recommended! After our heater stopped (39 degrees outside) John came out the same day and got us warm. I have a cousin (16 hrs away) who has owned his hvac business for 40 years. After I spoke with John about repair options, I called my cousin for advice. John kindly spoke with my cousin and the issue and the price was spot on.

This was the third time we’ve worked with John and each time he has been honest and an overall delight to work with. In a world where many technicians look to up-sell or do more work than is actually needed, we’ve repeatedly experienced John’s integrity in looking for ways to save us money. I first met John several years ago when he did an AC tune up. He was courteous and friendly. He pointed out things to watch for but never tried to up sell me.

I had John come out again about a month ago for another AC check up since the warmer weather was just around the corner. He took care of the AC system with some parts and freon. We were treated to the same level of great customer service that we experienced the last time.

Last week our upstairs unit wasn’t putting out any cold air when we came home from work . I reached out to John that evening and he told me he was booked but could come over to the house 48 hours later.

Today was the day. He contacted me just before he got to the house. He informed us as to what the issues were and gave us a couple of repair options. Within 45 minutes he diagnosed and replaced a faulty fan.

In short, John is a really good and honest person. Additionally, he is honest as the day is long and reliable. Santa Air has won all of my future business!

I had a great experience with SantaAir! My heater was broken, and they sent Tyler out to fix it. He figured out what the problem was, and went out of his way to make sure they we went the most cost effective way to fix it. After that everything was great. It turned out that my thermostat was broken, and now the heat wouldn't turn off!

I texted Tyler (he told me that I could at any time if I had any questions) and he was able to come back out the next day and install a new thermostat. All in all, a great value, and great customer service!
