Both Sab and Lavelle (and Lavelle’s co-worker, I didnt catch his name) were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The install was quick and looks great. I called on Friday 10/28 and they came out to inspect that afternoon and then replaced the aged furnace on 10/31. Very quick turnaround!
Sab was very friendly and professional,. He went straight to the problem and got it taken care of right away. He explained what was wrong and what he fixed. I’m glad they sent him. I would use their services again.
Everyone I spoke to and dealt with was kind and professional at State Heating; from Melissa in the office to Lynn, who installed our new furnace. He went over everything with us and answered all of our questions. Although I do not remember the name of the gentleman who first came out to discuss the problem, he, too, was polite and a professional. Also, they cleaned up after themselves. This is a company I will recommend to others and use again.
Scott of State Heating & Air Conditioning came over to evaluate our steam boiler for replacement as part of a home warranty claim after a bad experience with an earlier contractor. He worked with the home warranty company to make sure our claim was approved. But more importantly, he responded to all of my questions, some of which were quite technical, and was willing to give his honest advice based on his years of experience. Boilers are a big investment, and I appreciate all the time that he spent walking through the install process, the sizing, and so on. The price was competitive with other proposals I received. While I ultimately went with a different company, I wouldn't hesitate to consider Scott and State Heating again in the future.
Imagine scheduling a appointment 4 days out, just to cancle after the guy missed the window the day of the appointment, because you don't have anyone to work in a crawl space meanwhile my wife is pregnant and I could have went to another company. Not to mention I work 12 hour shifts and stayed up 5 hours after I got off work just for them to call me and cancle. Disgusted with the way this was handled no one should use this company.
What does exceeding ones expectations really mean? Scott installed a new Furnace and A/C unit two years ago. We were not home last summer so this was our first year using the A/c. We orig had a four ton unit, Scott suggested we install a three ton unit as my house size calls for it and it would dehydrate as well as cool Fact checking supported his suggestion so that is what we did. Well the long and short of it was the house was hot and could not cool below 80 degrees on the hottest days. (Sun beats down all day, no shade) Scott came and checked out the situation. He returned replacing the Blower motor on the Furnace, New Coil and a Four Ton A/C unit. My house is now perfect on the hottest days. Scott accepted responsibility stating it was his suggestion to go with the smaller unit and he absorbed the cost. I would recommend Scott and State Heating and Cooling to anyone needing their services. This exceeded my expectations and would exceed any reasonable minded person. Honest people do still exist. Call these guys when the need comes up, you'll be glad you did! 5 STARS
They have major communication issues. I had a full furnace and air replacement through HSA warranty. It took four days of ME calling them to get a final price. Day of the install came, Scott called that morning to let me know the air conditioning unit was damaged. It happens, wasn't upset by that. The guys came out and did a great job on the furnace and getting everything prepped for the air conditioning. Scott calls again after the weekend to let me know they have another unit, and I should be hearing from the office the following morning to schedule the install. I never heard from the office in the morning. I had to call in the afternoon. Laura just now told me they have not yet been able to locate a replacement unit. I understand demand is high, COVID has things all messed up. But now I'm being told two different things by two different people. The installers seem to do very good work (sorry I didn't catch their names). But if you're hoping for open lines of communication, I would look elsewhere.
State Heating & Air Conditioning did an amazing job replacing the old, but well kept gravity furnace with a new, wonderful furnace AND central air unit in one day!
The crew was very professional, informative and helpful, going above and beyond! They made sure that I was satisfied with the placement and installation of the equipment, even making sure that the plants that had to be moved didn't die.
They cleaned up well and provided helpful information regarding how to best maintain my units for efficiency before they left. They were very, very thorough!
I highly recommend Scott and crew of State Heating & Air!
I have been a State Heating customer for many years. It's a great company and I have sent many referrals. Over the years, Scott has installed furnaces, air conditioners, thermostats, etc. in my double house. He has always done an excellent job and the company stands behind its products 100%.
Absolutely terrible customer service. Paid half of the amount due up for my before the service was completed. Still have not had the work completed. When I reach out for a refund, I’m told the message will be given, yet I have never had a response. This has been since August and they are still holding my $1,000 with no repair and just being ignored. Would definitely not trust them to complete any work in my home considering they think it’s completely acceptable to hold others money and not complete work.
