Schultheis Bros. Heating, Cooling & Roofing

I received an estimate from Schultheis Bros to add AC to my forced air heating unit, and they gave a very fair estimate and did the work quickly and professionally. I will definitely hire them again for regular maintenance or any future needs.

Appointment was scheduled for a rainy day. They showed up ,on time , and explained that the weather was an issue, but would return on the next dry day. Sure enough, 48 hours later they were there as promised and completed the work in a day. Additionally, they offered and installed tan colored gutters which matched my house trim beautifully and saved us a major painting project. Wood was replaced as needed expertly, and clean up was completed. Very satisfied with the price and the job.

Schultheis Bros. installed a new furnace for me back in 2016 and it's still working really well. I called on 1/29/2021 to ask a question regarding the flue liner, which they had installed in 2016. Tony came out to verify that it had indeed been installed back in 2016 and was working properly.

I have to say that Schultheis Bros has great Customer Service and they're really nice people.

I recommend them highly!!!!

1-Star Initial Review:
2 full weeks without heat in winter. First, they failed to order the part. Then, when scheduled to finally install the part, they said they had the wrong one.

The right part was finally installed a full two weeks later and it was time to pay the bill. I introduced my request to have the bill reduced due to the double delays.

A manager, entirely void of empathy, pleaded her own case for how hard she had to work to get the part. Wow. As if the customer is supposed to fall at a company's feet for doing their job.

Then the thinly veiled threat came as she told me she would talk to the owners to see if they wanted to handle this through the magistrate if I insisted that a reduction in price was in order.

Then the snide call back to after she consulted the owner went something like this: "We'd be happy to come back and remove the part," she said with a lilting, peppy tone.

Astonishing. Never one legit apology or ounce of empathy for a person being without heat for a full two weeks in winter. Instead, it felt an awful lot like sophomoric bullying followed by gleeful gloating in the power they hold over customers.

Upgraded to 3-Star Review:
When I called back following the 'remove the part' voicemail, I was transferred to the offending manager again. I requested an invoice be sent and that it included details about the service. Not just that they replaced a part to fix what wasn't working, but that it include the many details of the other aspects of the service that the manager was so keen to offer verbally.

I was then transferred to the owner.

He listened to what I had to say, remaining calm and neutral throughout. He had already seen the review above. And he asked what he could do to make it right.

I was honest in that I wasn't looking for anything in particular. Just a gesture to represent the fact that there was no heat for two weeks. And now, that I believe I had been treated poorly.

He made an offer. I immediately accepted. And I have paid the invoice.

I appreciate the reasonableness shown by the owner and upgraded the review to reflect how his actions brought up the average.

They did my roof yesterday and it looks great! Everyone worked hard and was respectful and friendly. They cleaned up EVERYTHING before leaving and their price was cheaper than some others 😊

Schultheis Bros. did an excellent job on our roof! They were prompt at getting us an estimate, had us on the schedule within 2 weeks. The workers showed up on time and worked hard to get the job done. They did accidentally drop a ladder on my railing - during a horrible downpour at the end of the job - and did some damage - thus the 4 instead of 5 star review - HOWEVER, they told me to get an estimate and were very professional about it and covered the cost of the repairs without any questions. I would definitely recommend them for roof installation.

Great experience all around. All employees i dealt with were fantastic. Had hvac system checked and a thermostat added to heat pump and was perfect service. Then I had new gutters installed that was perfect in every way. Highly recommend Schultheis Bros. And will use them for future projects.

Marcus and Jeff did a fantastic job diagnosing the furnace problem, and replacing the old expansion tank with a new expansion tank that has an internal bladder. All of the copper pipe soldering was done professionally. They actually cared about doing a good job! I recommend these two Schultheis Bros technicians. Good after job clean-up!

Our in-line hot water heater has had two recent (but separate) issues (after 11 years without an issue, we were due!), and both times I called Schultheis, Marcus responded and was at my house within 2 hours to repair the problem. Not only was he prompt, he was polite and knowledgeable about our water heater. As my kids are in the middle of 3/day practices for high school, we all appreciate having hot water to take showers!

Schultheis replaced the 60-year-old roof and gutters on my father's house. They were easy to work with and were timely with the job completion and cleanup.
