One of the most difficult to deal with HVAC contractors I have ever tried working with. Their name was on the HVAC system in a home I purchased as the original system installer -- so naturally I called them for support. They act like they don't want/need your business. I was considering an expansion to the home and adding another zone and they wanted to charge over $500 just to QUOTE the project and insisted I would be a waste of time if they didn't get it. They also said they would refuse to service the existing HVAC system they installed if I let anyone else do any work on the property -- even if the other system was completely separate (like a mini-split). Stay away and find somebody who values your business -- these guys don't seem to.
The website is misleading, the "Winter/Summer Special" is for returning customers only (its at the very bottom of the webpage.
Then when they got here, they managed to strip a part and then charge me $700 to fix it. They mentioned that the part would cost $80, but didn't mention that they'd be charging me for the two hours that it would take them to drive and get the part. $240 car ride??
Called for my annual maintenance. They responded promptly and the service was great. The technician followed up with a detailed report. I was very happy with the service.
I'm incredibly pleased with the work done today. It was a busy time for the island and yet they were able to deal with my heating issues as well! I have always been pleased with the service - but today was above and beyond :)
We have been using this company for over 20 years and will continue to do so. They have done everything from replacing a oil tank to installing a new a/c system and maintenance on both of our houses.
Excellent service and they came same-day with no emergency charge, even though they're short staffed. Very thorough and checked everything even after they found the problem, to make sure there were no concerns. Definitely recommend
Had my yearly check-up for my boiler (gas) and our rental unit (oil). The technician (Tyler) showed up on-time, was very polite and professional. Have used R.B. Queern for the last few years, and will continue to do so.
The service was excellent and very professional. The technician spent 90 minutes thoroughly cleaning and servicing the AC. I would highly recommend and use them for future services.
The night after I moved back home after the recent Newport gas outage, National Grid reported new problems with my system. RBQ came out after midnight and successfully serviced the system. Thank you for a great response at a terrible hour in miserable cold.
