I normally do not write reviews. However Bower's service and dedication to my HVAC system over the past year since they originally bid and installed replacements deserves particular praise.

My 20+ year old heat pump died more than a year ago and was not serviceable. A friend recommended Bower, so I called them among others for a bid. Due to supply chain issues in early 2022, after weeks of searching, Bower could not get a similar brand furnace to replace my old one. They asked to submit another bid at that timer and actually came in at a lower price for similar quality equipment in another brand.

My new 16-SEER heat pump dropped my electric bill $100 last August compared to the prior August with my old unit. I was thrilled! However, this past winter, my system did not work as I'd expected. Ultimately, it turned out to be a thermostat issue, though they did replace some parts on the outdoor unit, even having a manufacturer representative come all the way out to my place in the sticks to examine the system. Bower was always kind and courteous to me, even when I wasn't so courteous to them. They begged me to not give up on them and promised to make it right not matter what it took.

It took a few trips and some time, but Bower *did* make good on their promise. Some of their techs clearly don't know as much as others, which is understandable considering that the industry is in a period of rapid technological advancement (energy efficiency and performance related) at this time. What's important is that Bower stood behind their work, and at no cost to me beyond payment on the original installation. They stood behind their warranty even when my descriptions of my system's behavior were strange and made no logical sense (but were true nonetheless).

With my system now properly running, and the cold spell we just had, it dipped down into the low-20's overnight over a few nights, yet the auxiliary furnace rarely even fired, except for the normal heat pump defrost cycles. My propane usage has dropped dramatically. My electric bill for heating has risen only modestly, while my electric usage for cooling has dropped significantly. The heat pump performs well beyond my original expectations, and, if anything, a *gas* backup furnace now seems overkill.

The change-out crew arrived a little early, completed their job efficiently, and left early. They built a new platform in the attic for the interior unit that was not there before. Everything was left cleaner than it was before they arrived. They repeatedly went above and beyond what was expected. I would highly recommend Bower Heating & Air to anyone.

Answered any and all questions we had and gave us tips to keep our system running smoothly. I wasn't sure if I should proceed with a post or comment, but Google has prompted me three times to leave a comment with my 5*. I hope that this doesn't get misdirected. I called your company earlier by accident, I was actually attempting to call Ostrum when I was redirected by Google somehow and given your contact info instead. The young lady that answered, Beverley, I think her name was, she was great. Thank you for calling Bower, right then I knew that I had the wrong number, I explained who I was trying to call and she states that happens at times and offered to give me the correct number. I have done this before, and others have never offered the extra help. Well, not this young lady, she took the time to give me their contact info, which only encouraged me to hear what Bower was about to see if they could help us with what we were looking for. I explained all of our issues, plumbing, insulation, Geo Thermal, replacing the fire pit/barbecue in the upper section of our property and central vacuum issue. Listening to what we needed, knowing none of these issues or needs were anything that they specialize in, she took the time to provide me with a few names and contact information that could possibly assist us with each of these. I asked her about a couple of HVAC companies that I had been referred to and what her opinions of them were. All she would say to me is, I appreciate that you are trying to find a quality company that services Geo Thermo unit, gas logs, and plumbing, I personally have never had a geo thermal system, but I have found a few service providers on here that do, here are their names and contact numbers, what I would do before I call any of them is maybe review any customer review or comments for each one, go from there. She then explains that in this business, none of us are perfect. We all make mistakes. What stands out are the ones who stand behind their work and customers with honesty, our owner Mr. Bower wouldn't allow us to handle it any other way. There is my 5* comment review, cared enough to help even when it didn't serve or benefit them, that's awesome. It will, I will tell everyone I know that mentions heating and air to call you guys first, let them help you find what you need even if it's somewhere else, great customer service skills.

Can't say enough good things. Our heat went out late on a Friday afternoon when the temp. Was in the teens. Their service tech on call was already on a job that was going to take awhile. He was still willing to come at 10:30 pm. Had to change the thermostat. Stay till he was sure the house warmed up. Thanks Jorden

New high efficiency gas furnace has had a few times of not keeping up with the thermostat setpoint. System not working and reporting an error code for a few hours, then returning to service. I sent an email just a few minutes after office hours and quickly got a call back. They were willing to come out that evening. We ended up scheduling for a time the next day. Technician showed up on time, adjusted a few things, explained what and why. Excellent response & service.
