Communication is my frustration with this company. The mechanics did a good job and were very personable and professional. The new furnace was installed properly and at a reasonable cost.
However, the office staff did not send me a bill, when they called to say I had an outstanding bill, I said I hadn't received one, and they said the quote was the bill. I said someone had called asking for my billing address and the apologized, but asked if I would pay the bill now. I gave them my credit card over the phone. They charged for $309 more than the quote had been. I found they had sent two receipts to my email and in the mail with the extra $309 included for labor (which the man on the phone had said would be included). They did not send this receipt out until after the amount had been charged to my account and I had never been told about it.
I called the office with a question about the bill and nobody called back. I called again and talked to a woman. She said the mechanics should have charged me the $309 fee when they came out and assessed. I informed her that they had not even mentioned it even though I was there with them. They had 2 men wait for an hour for Avista to come turn off the gas and charged me 2 hours of labor for that (apparently not included in the labor I was quoted). The woman on the phone said the assessment was a different charge. I continued to reminder her that i had never been informed of the charge before it was taken from my credit card. She said she would have the billing lady call me back, but they never did.
Like I said, the mechanics were good and the work was done well and in a timely manner, but I am very concerned that they charged my card for an amount they hadn't told me about and would not return my calls to discuss it. Due to what felt as disrespectful behavior to me on the part of the billing staff, we will not use this company in the future.
Integrity issues. At installation they set it up incorrectly. After 4 different times of coming out and not finding the issue, they tried charging us even though it was under warranty and nothing was fixed. Then two months after the warranty was over it blew a fuse again. This time a guy actually found out the problem and fixed it. Said it was from initial installation. The manager still said that I had to pay, because it was past warranty. They argued that I already didn't pay for the four other times that they came out. This problem was from the installation being done incorrectly. Good customer service and integrity is something this company does not have.
Incredibly fast, friendly and efficient service was provided by Advanced Mechanical Systems. Eric the technician was courteous and very friendly and worked diligently to make certain that our furnace was in good working order. Thank you Advanced Mechanical! I would use you again and recommend you to all my friends and family!
I have never been so happy with an HVAC company before. These guys came out the same day when everyone else was 1.5-3 weeks out. They dealt with avista for me (avista refused to give a time to meet them on site and several other HVAC companies were too confused as to what avista was wanting) They were quick, responsive, got the job done right, and didn't try to over charge me. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY CROP! Highly Recommended!
