It's been over 72 hours now since notifying Cougar Mechanical that their technician left us with a non functioning AC after doing a "tune up" that we paid for. It was perfectly fine before they came and the components were functioning within spec according to the tech taking measurments. So there wasn't any work to be done after all. However after they left the cool air never came back on and my thermostat started warning me something was wrong. So I called them to get help and they said they'd have a supervisor call me back but nothing. I've been without AC for 3 days now. Google suggests that the wiring was put back together incorrectly because if you follow the cables they appear to be in the wrong spots on the capacitor, (which is also a potential fire hazard btw). I shut off the power to it to be safe and so they can fix their mistake. But that doesn't seem to be a priority for them. Previously I had problems simply making this tune up appointment to begin with. The scheduling people rescheduled once on me, then called the following day canceling my appointment because they said they didn't service my area despite it being on their web page. When I left my first review they called me and offered to send me a gift card in exchange for removing my google review. It's been weeks now and I' ve had nothing but problems trying to get actual service from Cougar Mechanical.

Had Lamont come out to service our central heat and water heater. Outstanding job! Friendly, courteous and took the time to thoroughly explain everything, with pictures and video. An Outstanding visit!

Cougar Mechanical was able to come out and fix a leak problem with my 1 year old heat pump on the day it occurred, related to a missing P trap. The tech was both professional and kind - as it was disconcerting to find that fully soaked rug (he was able to wet vac up the water and take the rug to my backyard - much appreciated). The 2nd tech who came a week later to install an emergency off switch (in case of any future water issues), was likewise professional and personable - got the job done, walked me through the details, etc. I am glad I made the (sizeable) investment with my heat pump with this company - their customer service after the sale has been impressive.

I can recommend Cougar Mechanical. I was recommended to use there services. And for all my questions they had trained techs with answers. My tech Alban did a good job! He managed to stay patient with me and did outstanding work then was expected for a routine service. 5 stars.

Lamont was very professional! Lamont explained everything in an understandable way and Lamont was efficient in his work. I enjoyed having Lamont in our home and will request Lamont every time I use Cougar Mechanical.

The technician, Jorge came at the appointee time. Got right to work. Was very pleasant and explained everything that he was doing in easy to understand terms. He did maintenance on both our furnace and air conditioner, as well as going over our water heater. Cougar mechanical has always been a great company to work with and Jorge was no exception. They are my go to when I have any troubles with my heating or air conditioning.
