We needed to replace a very old evaporation cooler. I wanted the option of replacing it with a similar updated unit, so we could maybe save some money by re-using some of the infrastructure. I had called many of the companies that came up in Google, and none would do the work, or they wanted more money than a whole new system costs! Major did great work at a reasonable price. The men who did the install were everything you could ask for, and the office staff made sure I was happy throughout.

Wonderful customer service, wonderful engineer James who went above and beyond - literally - into a tiny hole in our sweltering ceiling with an extra-tall ladder that he bought himself just for our project. We so appreciate him repairing our air conditioning. We highly, highly recommend Major and think they are A+ people!!

We have been long time customers of Major Heating. They certainly extend great effort into ensuring their customers are satisfied. Our experience has been that their quotes come in cheaper than most of the heating companies in greater Denver. As a consumer you have to understand that no company is perfect and what is important is the handling of service issues as they arise. We have had a few hiccups along the way and they are dedicated to ensuring they correct situations best they can. Diane, the service manager is a good go to if any problems arise.

I have used Major Heating and Air Conditioning several times over many years. I called for another "repair" only to be told the inevitable, my 25 year old furnace had finally died for good. No repair was going to make it work. Knowing that we were supposed to be getting another cold front, Major made quick work to get a furnace for the next morning. The installer, David, was early, friendly, efficient and informative. After completing the job, David reviewed his findings and fixes. The original installation had a poor connection leading to a small carbon monoxide leak. This was detected and addressed with pictures to show the issue. I was very impressed with all aspects of service and will continue to use Major Heating and Air Conditioning for anything I may need.

We called Applewood plumbing & heating originally, but they couldn't come out the same day. My father-in-law recommended Major heating since they were local, and he had used them before. I had to pay the higher weekend rate, but it was worth it. The service technician 'Dan' came out the same day and got the furnace running. We did run into a minor problem a couple of days later, but Dan came back out and charged us only for the part. I only post reviews when the service is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Major earned their 5 stars this time!

My technician Trevor was efficient and honest.. he replaced a primary motor instead of selling me a new furnace. This way I'll get a couple more years out of my furnace and when the time comes they will get my business for a new furnace.

You should never use their service. They will be nice first, but after the job is done. They will try to rip you off in the billing. The person who did the job told me that the job took 3 hours, but when I received the invoice it was for 3.5 hours - totally unethical, and they had the audacity to argue with me about it and tell me I was wasting their time. Moreover, you should only be charged for labor and materials and that is what they will promise you when you book an appointment, but when you get the invoice you will see a surprise charge of $65 for "vacuum and brazing" - whatever that means. And here is another one - they charged me $25 for 6 plastic wire ties they used at the job. You can get 100 pieces of wire ties for 10 bucks or so. Overall, what I can tell you for sure is that they have absolutely no respect for their customers and their business model is based on how well they can rip off people. By the way, in case the owner is reading this review - Steve (the invoicer and who thinks he is the most important person on the planet) should be fired from this company

I would like to let everyone know how i was treated at Major Heating and Air. I had just moved into a new house that first of all has a Geo thermal system in it. This is a very complex but awesome way to heat and cool your house. Well half of the house was blowing out cold air and this is when it was really cold outside. I had called these guys up because the old owner used them. I talked to a lady once and she said if it’s not an emergency can we come out another day. Again half my house was working so we were fine at the moment. My house is 11,000 Sq. just so you know. So I wait 8 days and call back. The lady says I will contact you on Monday (this was Friday). I wait Monday comes around so i call and she says we can come out at the end of the week. This is now been 2 weeks. They send someone out of the house who has never seen the house before. Nice guy but this is a more complex system. He was there for 5 hours and ends up telling me the pipe froze in the attic. With this system you can’t just look at it and see if it is frozen you need to open one of the pipes and see inside of it. They said call us next week to come back out to check it. I did and no one calls back. I called again and no one calls back. This is now 6 days later. Now i wake up to one of the pipes in the attic popped off and leaked water all over the ceiling. I went up in the attic saw the problem fixed it myself then called them again telling them what had happened. The lady immediately gets Jack the owner on the phone. He starts being very defensive about the situation and keep asking me (why are you trying to get me to admit that we did this. We didn't touch anything) again their guy was here for 5 hours and he didn't touch anything YA RIGHT. I finally said whatever and hung up the phone. A few days later the system started failing everywhere. Because now there was air in the system. Called again and they now refuse to come out at all to look or even fix the issue. While me my wife and 3 kids froze in -10 degree weather. I would never do this to anyone of my clients ever. The ceiling fix is only 750.00 at most. To blow out the air is 1500.00. All this is now coming out of my pocket. So I do not recommend this company to anyone due to how the owner treated me and my family is this very cold weather we have been having.

So my A/C broke and I started looking for someone to fix it. I called 9 different companies to get availability (Kappler, Brothers, Westwood, Sanders, Aspen Creek, Total, Greak Peaks, and Controlling). While a few other companies could do it sooner, Major came recommended to me from an acquaintance. I decided to wait the few extra days because of the recommendation and the good online reviews. I scheduled my appointment for July 12, 2016 between 9-11am.

I got a call on July 12, 2016 at 8am from a woman in the office telling me that they had to reschedule my appointment. While frustrating, this can happen. I asked her when they can next come out, she told me that it would be at least a week. Normal business practices in this scenario would be to have your techs work extra hours, pay the overtime, and reschedule most appointments within 24-48 hours.

Calling me the day of the appointment (a mere hour before we were expecting them) and then only having availability a week away, really bad business practices in my opinion.

I genuinely have no idea if they do good A/C repair because I called another company who was available three days later.

I would recommend that you think twice about scheduling an appointment with this company.
