The folks at County Wide Mechanical were helpful and responsive during each step of the project. I had a Mitsubishi heating unit installed. Within one day of the initial call, Ken showed up to provide me with a quote. The price was significantly less than the next lowest quote. I explained that I needed the unit installed ASAP. He was able to accommodate my request. Two installers from CWM and their electrician arrived on time and completed the installation. So far everything seems to be working properly. Great job.
Having used County Wide Mechanical Services before. I was quick to call them for the installation of a new hot water tank. Enigen and Nick were awesome. They were very professional and made sure I had hot water before they left. I give them the top rating!!
Called after hours cause our central air system stopped working on one of the hottest days. Isaiah arrived listened to our concerns, promptly diagnosed the issue and fixed it, including a clean out and described everything to us all through the process. Thank you Isaiah! We will be calling and recommending him to come in the near future for regular service.
This is a horrible company. They sent out a new homeowner coupon offering a "Free Furnace or Air Conditioning Maintenance Check -A $185 value" yet, when you call to schedule it (after rescheduling 4 or 5 times before coming out) they wouldn't offer the coupon and said we have to pay the $!85 to get the furnace maintenance check. They refused to honor their coupon and have been very difficult to work with. I just don't understand sending out coupons that they won't offer. We would never use a company that doesn't honor their word.
I am writing this review because this Company did not respect my time and I would like others to know this when deciding whether or not to schedule an appointment with them.
On 10/9, I did a chat online with this Company to set-up an appointment to clean my furnace before the winter. I love Companies that have a chat feature, as long as it is useful and takes the place of an unnecessary phone call. We eventually connected on the phone later that day and I made an appointment for 10/29 at noon or after. I understand windows are required, but since I need to drive 40 minutes to our condo that we sublet, I prefer to know if it will be morning or afternoon, so this time worked for me.
On 10/28 (a Sunday), I received not one, but two confirmations of my appointment the following day. One via text and one via email, both very clearly reminding me I have an appointment with them on Monday, October 29th. Nothing about the Noon or after window, but I figured we were still good with that.
On 10/29, at 11:32 am, I received a phone call from County Wide Mechanical to schedule an appointment. I was confused and stated that I thought I had an appointment with them that very day in the next 30 minutes (or later). Alex said that he was sorry, but it looked like it was not actually scheduled and they had a number of emergency calls to attend to this week. Thankfully, I hadn't left yet to go to the condo, so I gave them a pass and rescheduled for 11/6. Alex promised me I would be the first appointment that day, right at 8 am. I figured that was asking for much, but if it got done in the morning, I would be happy.
On 11/5, I received no confirmation of my appointment the next day, which I thought odd since I received two confirmations when I actually didn't have an appointment set-up. I called at the end of the day and they had dispatch call me when the schedule for the following day was figured out. They called me back at 4:26 pm and said that even though i'm first in line, the technician had an emergency call first thing in the morning and then I would be after. I asked Alex (again) for an estimate and he said maybe late morning, but he wouldn't know for sure until the Tech started the work. Not a problem, just wanted an estimate.
On 11/6, I arrived at the condo at 9:05 am. I set-up my laptop and prepared to work from the condo as long as needed. Time went by and I had received no call by noon. At 1:45 pm they called me, but they confused me with whoever was the emergency call before me because they said they were trying to reach me all day and wanted to know if I wanted to order the part. Once I cleared things up with her, she said she thought the Tech was dispatched to me and on the way, but would verify and call me back. No call back by 2:15 pm, so I did a chat online again and they said they would have dispatch check and call me. Received a call at 2:45 pm from Alex and he started apologizing because they would not be able to get the Technician out to my place today and would like to reschedule to any time next week. I declined and told them I would be working with a different Company.
I hope anyone reading this review keeps this in mind when deciding between this Company and any other Company that seems in the same general "option bank."
Isaiah is an excellent technician. The overall communication between the office, supplier, and technicians could use some improvement. The replacement parts were not ordered for my furnace so my appointment had to be rescheduled. This was only discovered an hour before the appointment was to take place. Not professional. There needs to be a way to look at all the upcoming projects for the next few days and be sure everything is prepared. This includes creating estimates for how much time each appointment will take. An appointment scheduled for 11:30 should not turn into a 3:30 or 4:30 arrival by the technician because the morning jobs took longer than estimated. This happened twice to me. Get the first appointment of the day in the morning and call to confirm your technician's arrival.
As a new homeowner needing my oil furnace to be serviced, I immediately thought of County Wide Mechanical. Both Sean and Nick did an outstanding job. Unfortunately I found out that my furnace needed more than just an annual service. Sean explained everything thoroughly to me and assured me that it was a worthwhile investment in my "new" home. I really appreciated Sean's outgoing friendly personality and the high level of professionalism. Thank you!! I will definitely recommend County Wide to all of my friends and clients! When I called to schedule inspection of my system to determine a hot water issue, I was quoted $1400+ for a new hot water tank. Next day, I received a call that there was an error in the estimate and it would be $1900+. I was ok with that. Things happen.
The next day the owner of the company said the estimate should be $3700+. Its a $900 tank and they want to charge me $2600 to install it. From my experience, I would expect any reputable business to honor the price quoted. This is a horrible company to do business with. I friends in this business and they were disgusted by what had happened. I even left the owner a voice mail and never heard back. Fully understand that there may have been an error, that SHOULD NOT BE MY PROBLEM. Horrible company to do business with.
Tyler and Kendall were phenomenal. Worked the entire day until system was installed and working. They’re work is neat and clean. Removed all trash and old equipment. Explained all aspects of my HVAC. I’m glad I selected County Wide. The entire company was helpful throughout my experience.
New to the northeast and just closed on our house and have absolutely no idea about gas heating. Woke up with no heat so I contacted CWMS and had a tech at the house within the hour. They were super nice on the phone and Isaiah, the technician that came out to the house went over and beyond. Not only did he fix the problem but he walked me through the whole heating system. He also taught me how to light the pilot light if it were to go out and how to turn off the system in case of an emergency. He even looked at the fire alarm and tested it to see if it worked! He double checked my fire extinguisher to make sure it was universal and was safe to use and he even put my mind at ease about our gas stove! Not to mention he made sure I knew what gas smelled like before he left. I let our realtor with William Raveis know about my experience and he said he would definitely put them down for future clients if they were ever in need. I definitely recommend them and we will use them in the future for all other services.

I would leave zero stars if I could.
