I was conned into signing up for a home warranty package when I had someone out to fix my furnace over the summer. It included a plumbing inspection so when the ceiling in my living room starting leaking I called Michael & Sons again and the lady on the phone said it would be covered and she set up my appointment. The technician who came out was an HVAC tech and after looking at the furnace and outdoor unit (even after being told that wasn’t why we called) he said we needed a plumber and scheduled a new appointment for the next day. The plumber came out and said that the diagnostic wasn’t included in the package that I paid a lot of money for and that it would be another $200 just to find the issue. After cutting an absurd hole, that looks like he just punched through my drywall, in my ceiling we were told it was an HVAC issue and we would have to schedule ANOTHER appointment with a HVAC tech (who was just there and did nothing) just for them to tell me how they could fix the problem. So basically I’ve spent a stupid amount of money and my ceiling is still leaking.

They took their time, and did a excellent job removing the old unit, and putting in a new one. I would highly recommend them to others.

OK, so, this review is specifically for the Michael and Son's Remodeling team. Their quote will be, at minimum, three times more expensive than any comparable company. Let's talk about my personal experience. First, when I moved into my home in 2015, I realized the bathroom vent was not vented outside. Michael and Son's remodeling quoted me at $5,000 to vent the fan through the roof. I refused. A few months later, I called Michael and Son's electric who quoted me $500 for the same work ($1,500 to go through the brick wall). So, yes, I was charged ten times less than Michael and Son's to go through Michael and Son's. Now, I have some basement waterproofing work to be done. Without doing and real inspection of the space, they quoted me $32,000 to dig and waterproof a ten foot section of my home. This one star review does not apply to the Plumbing, HVAC, or Electric or the call center staff. They would get five stars, but until they address their remodeling/restoration/waterproofing department I feel like it is my duty to leave this review. (I will upgrade this review to five stars if they completely get rid of this department. It damages their brand).

Update: Michael and Son sent an electrician yesterday, who actually looked at the inside of the home and fixed the problem for $90. Very glad I did not pay the $32,000 that Michael and Son's quoted me.

Terrell was on time and he was very professional he's very knowledgeable about his work identified the problem and fixed it promptly he also had a very good demeanor and I would recommend him to work on any HVAC system he is a great asset to your company

Called them late on Friday afternoon, they were able to have their technician at my home within 24 hours. Kevin was wonderful, professional, worked quickly and solved our issue within 20 minutes. The only “issue” is that their office called to move our appointment up which I stated whatever works for the technician, they changed the time… and finally after he didn’t arrive 1.5 hrs past the window I emailed them and they never responded to ask for ETA. Finally called and they said the tech informed them at 1:00 that he was stuck at a large job and needed to push me back to my original window… their office never communicated that by text, email or call. I found that odd, seeing how they called me 3 times at 8:30 in the morning and also emailed me to push the time up from 4-6P to 12-2P… but they don’t say anything when he was now going to be late. Nonetheless, he was great so I still give 5 stars! Thank you!

They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions which put my mind at ease. Laurent and the other technician worked relentlessly to install furnace, ac .humidifier, and thermostat. They did an awesome job. It was a wonderful experience for me. I would highly recommend Michael and Son Company very efficient technicians and office personnel throughout the entire process.

I had a great experience with Michael & Sons and will definitely work with them again. I had a serious clog in my condo building's common drain line that was incredibly difficult to access due to the original HVAC company's shoddy installation (and the developer cutting corners). Every tech I worked with at Michael & Sons was tenacious in coming back to work on this until we were finally able to access the common drain line and snake the clog. I only paid for one snake but they kept coming back until it was confirmed clear (not their fault they didn't get it the first time -- as I said, the original install was awful). I worked with both HVAC techs and plumbers to solve the problem and they were all amazing: Omar, Jose, Kevin (HVAC), and Lawrence, James, and Donald (plumbing) were fantastic. Highly recommend for regular maintenance and for more serious repairs. Thank you!
